Have you been playing long?
I can say that all of my promotions were done out of necessity in the dark ages before they dropped class respecs on us. I would honestly have zero promotions had those been available at launch.

Unfortunately the highest difficulties are really aimed at Promotion/Gear Lords, albeit Nightmare to a lesser extent. I joke about this game not taking much skill, and truthfully there are times when that is the case.
Promotion Lord status removed...
Unfortunately, Promotion Lord status is permanent and cannot be removed. I mean, can you un-promote your characters? Didn't think so.
This makes me grin to think there is likely a vicious retort to follow. It is Simon after all...
