Yesterday I finished a playthrough (Trespasser exempted) for one of my characters, but I noticed she stayed stuck on level 27 maxed out. I thought there was no level cap for the Inquisitor? :/ Have I misunderstood that, did it get changed with a patch/DLC or have I been hit with a bug?

(Also, in the meanwhile I have the impression (but not certain yet) that the previous Influence level cap is gone... :/ )

Level cap has always been 27 (though it would be difficult to reach without the DLC), and the influence cap is 20.

Interesting. I believe I've reached lvl27 with Arianne before Jaws of Hakkon and Descent hit... I'd have to check.

Yes, Bioware lied when they said there was no hard cap. And yes, they did say that before the game came out, you're not crazy.

I kind of wondered last night why my inky was not getting experience any longer.  She's 27, and yes, no way would she be there if not for Descent and JOH.   Plus I had the perk to get bonus xp from turning in research stuff.

Oh, so to you it's ok when someone lies about the product they're selling you? I. E. When you are giving them your hard-earned money...

Where did they say there was no hard cap?

They mentioned that they were going for a soft-cap approach pre-launch. Aulls Vara is correct, but still I don't see it as a lie since before Jaws Of Hakkon came out it was pretty much impossible to get to level 27.

Eh, I guess if you're one to really be upset on principle, but if it takes a DLC to go beyond level 25, it's not a real issue, especially since the very last one is level scaled. In DA:O, the hard cap was 35 if you bothered to take your surviving Warden through Awakening, but it didn't really matter in the end. It was a glut of abilities that I never really took much advantage of because there just wasn't enough game to use it.

I'm not saying it impacts my enjoyment of the game, but a lie is a lie. And Bioware lies a lot. They promised a whole lot of things for Inquisition that we never got. These things should not be forgotten and should not be justified.
