On this subject I am surprised how many Inquisitor's are younger then Kara.  And I was trying to make Kara pretty young, though a drifter in her life which is why she is a *bit* older.  But most people's Inky's are in their early 20s.  Pretty surprising all and all.

For some reason it felt like bioware made quizzy to be a much younger character. So for me that's how I played her. Since she was second to her keeper it stands to reason she would be fairly young. Hawke I made much older and by the end of it she was in her mid 30s. My warden I played as she was in her mid 20s.

This is just my canon play through though. I have other quizzies that are older.

Yeah I get that feeling too.  Kara was...young in spirit. :P

My Inquistor is a rift mage in her mid-20's who is uninterested in religious or political organizations (she particularly dislikes the Chantry, but respects Cassandra enormously), though she was raised with a slight bias toward elves.  She despises the brutish and stupid, and doesn't display emotion easily.  Oh, and she's very sarcastic.

Ooh, this seems like a fun thread, I'll pitch in! The Inquisition is different to me from other DA games because I have THE Inquisitor, meanwhile there's atleast couple of Wardens and Hawkes who could easily be my canon if I wanted to but just decided to choose the other ones. So, here she is!

  • Name: Catherine Nova Trevelyan
  • Class: Mage (Rift Mage specialization, preferred skill tree lightning)
  • Age: 21 by the time of the Conclave, 23 by the time of the Trespasser
  • Family: Father (from Ostwick), mother (from Starkhaven); three siblings: older brother, older brother, a twinbrother;
    Spoiler
  • Before the Breach: Nova had been living in the Ostwick Circle of Magi since she was a child. As a child of a noble family, her life in the Cicle was relatively relaxed: she was able to keep in touch with her family and even visit them frequently. Despite all this, Nova was still a mage and she thought the life in the Circle was all she would get.
  • Some decisions:
    Main story
    - allied with the mages (one of her closest friends before the Conclave had joined the rebels and Nova wanted to save her from forced to be taken to Tevinter)
    - asked the Grey Wardens to join the Inquisition (had grown up reading the tales of the Wardens and wanted to believe that her childhood heroes still were somewhere in the seemingly corrupted organization)
    - saved Hawke over Stroud
    - forced the three leaders of Orlais into co-operation, kept Duchess Florianne alive (preferred to have a court jester [whom she eventually turned into an agent to the Inquisition] over a guided tour to the remains of her foe serving as a nightstand)

    - let Morrigan drink from the Well of Sorrows due to Nova's own fear of what it might do
    - Divine'd Leliana
    - never quite accepted the role of the Herald, rather avoided the subject and felt irky everytime someone referred her as such
    Companions and advisors
    - told "Blackwall" to go through the Joining after the defeat of Corypheus
    - Dorian didn't reconcile with his father
    - saved the Chargers
    - made Cole more human
    - told Cassandra to make her own mind about wheter or not to rebuild the Seekers, which Cassandra eventually did
    - gave Vivienne the heart of snowy wyvern
    - friends with practically everyone, however kept her distance with Vivienne and never completely learned to trust her due to their differing views of freedom of mages and their place in the world
    - Josephine's family once again free to trade in Orlais, the Inquisitor helped to evaluate Du Paraquettes into nobility status
    - Leliana softened
    - told Cullen not to take lyrium and to make it easier for him, retained herself from taking it around him

I think female elves and dwarfs tend to look younger than humans, as a rule. The pictures posted here are suggestive of that, and I recall I had serious trouble making a elf look 30ish and good at the same time.

Well, these are my two Lavellans - archer (left) and a mage (right). I think they can pass as being about 30 years old (I envision them both being 29 in the beginning of DAI). One of them will be canon, although I haven't decided which one though.

(Archer exiled Wardens, reconciled Celene and Briala and drank from the Well of Sorrows.

Mage kept the Wardens, made Celene, Gaspard and Briala cooperate and let Morrigan drink. Both sided with the mages and have softened Leliana as the Divine)

Also, it looks like most of the canons will be either Trevelyans or Lavellans.
