So, being bored I ran some very, very crude tests on the Amulet of Renewal to see the approximate percentage of mana regen increase. 

Counting with my mouth, after playing four songs and then waiting for the last bit to regen and play one last song to bring mana fully to zero I got the following times in seconds. Base Mana is 100.

 

Without Amulet:

16, 15, 17, 16, 16, 16, 15, 16, 16, 16

 

With Amulet:

11, 10, 11, 11, 10, 11, 11, 11, 11, 10

 

Averaging without to 16, and with to 11, we get mana regen rates of 6.25 and 9.09 per second respectively. That comes out to a 45% increase in mana regen. It's a nice little Ammy.

 

Edit:

I also ran a few trials on the Avvar, though I did Renewal vs. Superior Stamina Amulet (lack a Master one, got my Hakkons and got out) and Renewal is only a 10% increase over Superior's regen rate. I'd say that a Stamina Amulet is better as I'm doubtful that Renewal affects the Stamina amount regened by basic attacks.

Mana regens at 6% per second iirc (so 16-17 seconds from min to max). It's probably easier to say the amulet increases regen to ~9% per second, since it's hard to narrow down a passive-like percentage (though it is somewhere around 40%).

 

It's definitely a favourite for Zither. I also use it on the Keeper since spamming is fun, but I'd stick with the flat stamina amulet for stamina users.

 

Edit: I think I missed a few points of your post when I first read it. Sorry for any rehashed info. I seriously have trouble remembering this affects stamina, though. In my mind it's mage-restricted.

This amulet practically makes Opening Set obsolete.  Love it!

A good and very interesting test with results similar to aznricepuff. Thanks for doing it Sinistrality  :wizard:

 

The amulet is far better for mages, since rogue/warriors can just do an auto attack to regain some stamina.

Stamina/Mana Regeneration
All characters regenerate stamina and mana passively at a fixed rate. Passive regeneration is deactivated when sustaining abilities that drain mana or stamina.
  • Warriors: 4% of max stamina per second
  • Rogue: 4% of max stamina per second
  • Mage: 6% of max mana per second
 
In addition to passive regeneration, Warriors and Rogues recover a fixed amount of stamina with every autoattack. If a single autoattack strikes more than one enemy, stamina recovery will proc once for each separate strike.
 
  • 1-H Warriors: 5 stamina per strike.
  • 2-H Warriors: 15 stamina per strike.
  • Double Dagger Rogues: 5 stamina per strike.
  • Bow Rogues: 6 stamina per strike.
