That sentence structure is so atrocious. Could you please rephrase it in some way that it makes any sort of sense?
Nothing in this life has sense.

Why nobody says "Hawke should be the protagonist of DA:Inquisition because we fight Corypheous".
Because Hawke is a crappy leader and she would not have been able to lead an organization. Hawke however should have stayed with the Inquisition if they survived the Abyss questline and helped Inky in the final battle.
Mass Effect and The Witcher would like to have a word with you.
I think turning the Inquisitor into an invalid was their way to end his/her role as potential future protagonist without a forced death. The mentionend need for a person Solas doesn't know further indicates that they will follow their line of "new game, new protagonist". A way that I fully support because Thedas already feels some kind of small with all the cameos and stuff. Next game will be in Tevinter - most likely - so get rid off all the unnecessary old ballast. Leliana in three games was enough really and there are other characters with the same vibe.

How would having another new protagonist limit how many cameos/returning characters there are? Hasn't stopped all the cameos and returning characters yet. Most of our companions in DAI leave after the events of Trespasser, so the new crew would be mostly that, new.
everybody who refers to the inquisitor as "an invalid" invalidates whatever argument they're trying to justify
good job
S/he is in the pure definition of the word, no matter what your p.c. attitude says.

Then there should have been a possible death if you are not going to do anything with it. The ending of Trespasser simply does not work in inky is not involved in someway.
The Inquisitor is far from invalid, now the Inquisitor becoming a chess player against Solas would be interesting

It won't limit the cameos Bioware has in thought of course but a change will limit the demanded and "fan wanted" cameos which would be all the romance options. Imagine this board with a DA IV with the Inquisitor as protagonist without every DA:I romance option as a cameo. So, they'll be more or less in there.
A change in protagonist gives the world some scope, offers the world the potential to become the protagonist of the series itself and doesn't have these bonds like romances and other things.
After three games I personally think DA needs a cut and get rid off many old things. The possible switch to Tevinter could be just this, imo needed, cut. Inquisitor as protagonist would counteract to this. As always, ymmv.
Totally
All that proves is how difficult it would be for a one armed warrior.

My canon Inquisitor is a 2h warrior. So, she is definitely not able anymore to persue this role in battle. Even with a prosthesis indicated in the epilogue slides she wouldn't be able because the force needed couldn't be reached with the shown prosthesis. Same goes for S&S warriors. Unable to persue her role because of a wound and thus not usefull in an active role in the battle. That's what we in Germany call "Kriegsgeschädigte" or "Invalide" which translates to invalid.
Sure, a supervisor role or anything in this sense could be possible but this is hardly a role for a protagonist.

It would do no such thing. People who are fans of those characters would still ask or demand those characters have cameos or roles. Plus they could have it be like with the Warden in Awakening where they get a letter from their LI or just a bonus bit if the LI already has a role in the story or could be useful.
I disagree with different protagonists giving the world more scope. With a new protagonist each game, the game has to focus more effort on establishing that new character, whereas an already established character doesn't need that so the game can focus more on the world. Thedas would have had more scope if Hawke was the protagonist in DAI compared to the Inquisitor like originally planned.
Cutting ties between the games just makes it feel more episodic and less like a bigger, realer world.

This is a world full of magic and magical artifacts- why is it so outside the realm of imagination for the Inquisitor to benefit from such? I mean, if you can't see the awesome potential of getting a lyrium hand that can operate similar to Fenris' hands, or blast magic from its palm like Iron Man, then why do you even Dragon Age?

I don't know what is the word in English for a person without an arm/leg or with down.
But still is an invalid.
All that proves is how difficult it would be for a one armed warrior.
Warriors don't use bows anymore........
S/he is in the pure definition of the word, no matter what your p.c. attitude says.
a person made weak or disabled by illness or injury. <- Definition a...... Definition b -> remove (someone) from active service in the armed forces because of injury or illness.
No, the Inquisitor didn't appear weak or in anyway intending to end his/her quest to end Solas either by peaceful means or by forceful if necessary. I'm already thinking that having the Inquisition return to the Chantry is the non-canon option.

yes, and you summed up your knowledge of that very well with a photoshopped picture of the inquisitor in a wheelchair (even though nothing happened to their leg) wielding two guns (even though they're missing an arm) with cassandra pushing
A+++ would meme again.
If you want to make a thread discussing why you think the Inquisitor won't be in the next game, thats fine. But at least attempt to contribute something new to the discussion instead of...
whatever you're trying to do here.

Amputee, depending on the injury they can still live strong healthy lives and some still serve in reserve duty or in certain field such as personal security in the US. Downs would be mentally handicapped, but I've still seen people with Downs have families, go to college and live rather ordinary lives.

Here I thought we were getting along so well! I was even going to name one of my children after you - the grumpy one!

Fine, i don't want to play with an amputee, if any of yours want to play with "an amputee", cut your arm
.
How is this thread still going?
Never said they would be a protagonist
Since the thread is about Inquisitor with his wound as protagonist for hypothetical DA IV all my answers are referring to this. As I said, a NPC role is thinkable in many ways. Not that I would possibly like it, but it's on the table.
I translated the German "Invalide" with dict.cc and it gives me invalid. "Invalide" means in German someone who can't persue his role/job because of a recieved injury which is what my Inquisitor is.
They lost a damn arm, and with it a great deal of their ability to fight. That's the very definition of being "weakened". It doesn't require that they give up.Warriors don't use bows anymore........

There is no canon. The Inquisitor will pursue Solas, but in both cases it will be as a Chessmaster, wielding a network of agents whether as the Inquisition or new allies as their weapon. The Inquisitor doesn't have to be on the front lines to combat or hunt Solas.
Not if they're a mage. And even barring that, there's literally magic that allows people to grow their limbs back and technology advanced enough to create formidable prosthetic limbs. Not that I think the Inquisitor will be a PC - doesn't follow tradition - but there really aren't any serious obstacles that can't be overcome given what lore has established people are capable of doing in Thedas.

They lost the forearm and the hand, not the entire arm. As for the people claiming that functional prosthetic parts don't fit the setting...

That was a prosthetic hand and forearm (two versions) made in 1504.
Its the prosthetic of Götz of the Iron Hand, whom was still able to serve from 1504 to 1540 with that hand. It let him hold a shield, reins, a pen and various other objects that would require high manual dexterity to properly use.
