I read that we can keep playing after finishing the main quest, but then I also read you can't do romances afterward. Is there anything else I should be sure to complete before heading off to face Corypheus?

 

One more thing... will I want to make sure everyone has good gear? Like, with the finale of DA:O, there were two fronts in the battle and you had to use everybody. I mean, I imagine they're well enough off with looted whatevers to be fine anyway, I was just only planning on crafting tier 3 equipment for a warrior, rogue, mage and myself. Will there be a solo battle? So maybe I want to craft myself a dragon bone/webbing/scales set so I can really kick its ass?

Laaast battle is kind of a pushover though in all honesty. I wouldn't be that worried

Companion quests. Oh and if you do What Pride has Wrought, and you didn't weaken Samson's armor or find the truth out about Calpernia's master, you will won't be able to complete them and will have a tough fight with Samson and have to fight Calpernia no matter what.

 

I'm on the road to the thing with Samson. How do I get started on the Calpernia thing? Does it come afterward in the same chain?

Nonoptional major plot battles usually seem to be, I guess.

Samson and Calpernia are mutually exclusive. You get Samson if you do In Hushed Whispers, and you get Calpernia with Champions of the Just.
