Well, centuries of conquering, enslaving, oppressing, disenfranchising, and committing hate crimes against elves doesn't exactly inspire loyalty.
So why would Elves follow Solas?

I think an actual elf becoming an actual lord should be worth more to the elven community than just another elf sleeping with another human lord.
Well, there's the Garahel precedent: people were happy to follow the leadership of a city elf while the Blight threatened them and quickly forgot about him afterward, so I couldn't see these events being too pivotal (plus I don't think such a system should reward players too much simply for clicking Elf on the CC).
On the other hand, while lords sleeping with elven servants is obviously common, such affairs seem to be kept hidden for the most part (not to mention, these are not always consensual), a powerful and famous lord presenting their lover as their spouse in all but name should have a noticeable, albeit moderate effect upon the general zeitgeist.

"Hey elves, are you tired of having your homelands [Elvhenan and the Dales] invaded and taken away by humans?"
"Yes!"
"Are you tired of being enslaved and oppressed?"
"Yes!"
"City elves, are you tired of crimes against elves by humans being ignored or rewarded, being paid dirt wages for scut jobs, being forbidden from finding a better way of life like joining the army or the priesthood or nobility, and seeing your homes burned down if you try to leave the impoverished alienages?"
"Yes!"
"Dalish, are you tired of being attacked every time you wander too close to human villages, being labeled heathens and savages for rejecting the human religion, being hunted by Templars, and being forced to move around since humans refuse to grant you land of your own / honor their promise to grant you land of your own [if the Dalish Warden got the Hinterlands as a Royal Boon]?"
"Yes!"
"Do you want a homeland of your own, where you can decide your own fate and enjoy the freedoms and higher qualities of life denied you under the humans and Qunari, instead of settling for whatever scraps humans throw at you?"
"Yes!"
"Then look no further."

It's not just humans.. Solas is planning to wipe out our world and by doing this he is going to exterminate whoever is not elven, this will include not only humans, but also dwarves, qunari and perhaps elves that will choose to not follow him.
Not only, but didn't he stated many times that he doesn't even consider the current elves to be real elves? Neither the Dalish, nor the City Elves.
So, if I was an elf, why should I ever fight for the sake of someone who doesn't consider me one of his own?

Well, you're assuming Solas tells them the whole truth and what the consequences would be from restoring his desired world order, I doubt he would. He probably considers them acceptable losses for his notion of the greater good.

In other words he's tricking them with false promises but actually they're just pawns...

That's probably a large part of why he refuses to accept the Elven Inquisitor's support when offered. She not only can't be easily tricked, he doesn't want to. "I cannot do that to you, Vhenan." He's willing to use and manipulate others but not her.
I can see why the game wouldn't allow this option though. If the Inquisitor was an active co-conspirator in Solas' plans Thedas would totally be doomed.

Freed are the slaves.

No real reason since following Solas won't gain me anything but death and meeting Lucifer.
Revenge for being a slave and not much hope in this world of being anything else would cross my mind and may be enticing enough to follow him.
Besides, I like Solas. As lost as he may be in grief for a lost world and not being correct in destroying one world to resurrect a former the man has hart which is a reprieve from all those psychopaths devoid of any personality and soul. Sadly enough he might end up at Lucifers doorstep without a soul but so would I if I followed him.
If there is a DA4 I am more curious if Solas is just going to be the big next baddie or if he can be persuaded to embrace the world and inhabitants as is, how imperfect DA world may be to date.
