Luke, are you ever going to fix the enemy mage's damage?

On Nightmare, venatori mages and spellbinders will randomly do five times as much damage. This can happen with mines, elemental slides, as well as their auto attacks. I have also had normal wraiths do quintruple damage with their attacks. Same goes for Fire Wraiths and poison dots.

 

Today I had several games where the Saarebas hit me with a dot attack that did five ticks of ~220 dmg 3 times. That's 3300 damage over the course of three seconds. My Reaver could barely dragon rage fast enough to survive it with 5% health left and if there wasn't a target, I'd die. This happens to me several times every qunari game.

 

So are there any plans to fix this? Or is it simply working as intended and we'll just have to deal with it?

The Saarebas does something before he hits you with that attack. It can be avoided :ph34r:

Can be avoided doesn't mean it always will be avoided, in which case I'd prefer not to be killed by damage stacking randomly.

I always thought that it was programmed intentionally. You know, sword of denial, bow of doom, unpredictable magic and so on, just for our fun and challenge.

I think a bigger topic of discussion should be buffing magic defense on two handed warriors because they absolutely get annihilated.

ahh that's why I would finish killing a level then randomly die sometimes but not others (regardless of character played ....) actually I think the last time all 4 of us went down 2 steps from the end of zone door .......

 

also the spear chucker's need to have their block ability nerfed to a maximum of 6 in a row not an endless stream until a second person appears to whack em from behind or you get bored of watching the arm do its weird circle flick and pick another target, that or change their damage down, given they do way too much for a ranged unit !

yep  was puggin with my Lego  and they strip guard as soon as I make it

I did the face down and sonofbarak comes by with same issue but his const is a bit higher than mine (by about 100?) and picks me up  we finished but damn

no barrier/guard means its all on promotes

Lego is not a 2h warrior... anyway the only buff this game needs is to make nightmare harder. Not like hb either that's a waste of time. Same gold as nm and takes at least double the time. Nm should be harder or more xp or gold. The mages idk I only see this dot "damage dump" when there's more than one attacking the same player. Toyz didn't you just get tea bagged snd got so butt hurt you came here to vent?

Also con is half the battle with mages. No wp means extra hard hits... and you got like 40 con so if s.o.b has only 100 more con than you are still in the learning curve...
