Just wanted to get a feel for people's thoughts on the new classes. Constructive criticism only. :D

My favorite so far is the sentinel, but the engineer and infiltrator seem interesting too. What's everyone's favorite class so far? Least favorite? Which class has changed the most?

I like my adept thus far, but Its annoying that most of my attacks are nullified by cover, I end up singularity spamming alot just so I can get a shot off. I sort of wish I went with my backup class the infiltrator.

I really need to get shockwave since that seems to ignore cover, and im sure it will pick up once my throw gets strong enough to big up things like those big mechs,

that heavy pistol you get early on it pretty fun though, makes the shooting part of the game fun. And I forgot all about limb dismemberment in the game until I saw it again on the drones. Fun stuff.

But yeah I cant say im exactly the best at adept just yet but it feels like alot of my warps pulls and throws are being blocked by cover. Only complaint.

Now that I think about it, how does the curving of biotics work? Is it automatic? I can't say I've been able to reliably hit enemies behind cover either.

It's odd...I changed from a Vanguard in ME1 to an Adept in ME2 because those skills were closer to the way I play Shep in the first installment. Wish I had a shotgun, however.

I'm not super happy with Vanguard. Charge needs a longer range, and you can't even use it if there are multiple enemies around because you just get slaughtered the second you do :(

I'm playing an infiltrator. Love it. The damage bonus from cloak is nice for sniping.... Not to mention just cloak in general for survival purposes. My only complaint is the small amount of ammo I can carry for my rifle. 10 rounds isn't enough for any sort of prolonged combat.

Biotics + non casual difficulty = fail. Pick soldier or infiltrator.

Vanguards are radically changed from ME1. I am pretty unhappy with my Vanguard and I would not recomend the class to anyone. Giving lift instead of barrier to Vanguards, wtf were they thinking?

I think Vanguards are definitely very difficult to Use. But I still find it fun to be able to phase through objects and basically tackle your opponent. Too bad the charge is basically useless if they have armor or Shields > < That and no one enemy actually sits there alone. You are basically chargning into a pack of guys most of the time since they like to stick with one another.

Loving the Soldier so far! Not sure what I'll try for my next difficulty playthrough.

To curve a biotic, aim slightly away from your target, in the direction you want to curve.

Playing Engineer on veteran, quite enjoyable although I STILL haven't found an SMG.

Powers are fun, but the lack of weapon variety makes life a bit dull. Been using an assault rifle since I could which makes combat more fun.

Drone is alright, not very tough but it does get enemies out of cover and causes larger enemies like Krogans/Mechs to attack it and leave you alone.

Thinking of playing Sentinel next.

Soldier is awesome. Though, I miss my Shocktrooper's immunity spamming lol.

Soldiers are a blast, I really am having fun with it. They are moderately tough, and can use all weapons available in the game.

I do however plan on making a Sentinel, Vanguard, or Adept my next playthrough.

P.S. I plan on playing every class though.

I'm a few hours into the game with a Vanguard and I have to say I don't think I'm liking the class that much. I don't get to use Assauly rifles and my charge ability gets me killed constantly unless I'm only going up against a single target.

I'm thinking of re-roling as a soldier or infiltrator. Can infiltratiors use assault rifles? I'd love to try out my Collector weapon. What are the +/- of these two classes from someone who's tried them?

Any opinions for engineers and sentinels? Seems like they are the least common.

Engineers are fine. Sentinels are arguably the strongest class in the game. Very tough, abilities to take down any type of defense.

I find myself really relying on my Cyro/Incendiary abilities.  Overcharge is great vs shields/barriers.

AI hacking is a bit of a let down thusfar, you can only use it after you wittle down shields and armour.  I found it useful in a few areas against smaller enemies but I wish it could be used after penetrating shields, that would make it more useful against bigger mechs.

Combat drone is best used to force enemies out of cover and steal their attention, but I'm unsure how effective a pure combat droen is. (I went for the exploding one)

yea... im not enjoying the vangaurd that much either. I've already recruited the scientist and archangel but i wont want to have to do all that all over. Plus, im not sure whether i want to play as infiltrator or sentinel or engineer.

I imported my old Vanguard from ME1 and kept his class, I was going to change him to a Adept but a friend playing Vanguard talked me out of it.

I can say I've had my ups and downs with the ME2 Vanguard, at times I love it... others not so much. I'm slightly disappointed with Charge, awesome ability... but I wish I was able to "Charge Away" without targeting an enemy. Shotguns feel too different, I miss my "Cannon" but I'm adjusting. Overall, I'll say I'm enjoying it... but it doesn't feel the same.

My next class will be Adept or Infiltrator.

Can we change our class when importing an ME2 Shep for New Game+?

I ended up sticking with an adept on my imported Shep. I wasn't all that fond of the class in ME1 but the vid looked cool. I actually like it better in ME2. The powers are on a global cooldown instead of individual cooldowns, but it doesn't take that long to recharge. Also, the curving is very useful. I find myself using powers more often than in ME1, which should be the point of an adept after all.

Probably going infiltrator or sentinel next time around.

Sentinel is pretty fun. I feel like I don't even need my team so far.

What bonus ability do you guys suggest?

I'm currently a Vanguard and I'm very disappointed. Is there any way to change classes? Or do I have to start over?
