Nope.
Did anyone else find 2 and 3 better than the first?

Yeah I did.
I actually have a small confession, when I first played the original Mass Effect I didn't like it. I got quite a way through the game and just hit a wall with it and never went back to it, I kept it because it was the Collectors Edition and didn't want to part with it.
Roll on to Mass Effect 2 and I was adamant I wasn't going to buy it but I got caught up in the hype train and pre ordered. As soon as I finished the opening section I was glad I did, I was instantly hooked and thought Mass Effect 2 felt a lot better than the original.
I finished 2 and then went back and completed the original and I am glad I did as I instantly loved it the second time around.

ME1 is the only ME game I keep replaying once every year. So no OP I find story/character wise ME1 greatly superior to both ME2 (the worst for me) and ME3.
ME3 though has the best combat and graphic.

ME1 and ME2 were great. I still haven't finished ME3 and don't know if I ever will. A tribute to the writing is that I can't watch (spoiler, hey you never know) Anderson and my femShep die. (<-- highlight for text)

No. ME1 feels like a classic despite being quite dull in terms of plot in its campaign middle. It still had a great sense of scope and wonder, and player agency.

ME1 is a classic, and will always be close to me. Can't wait for backwards comp for XB1 to play ME1 again (and hopefully EA/Bio gives permission for ME2/3 to be available as well).
