Why Evade and Leaping Shot? I use Leaping Shot wherever I would use Evade, plus it does damage. Alternatively, Flask of Frost can be used to punish melee enemies.

I prefer to spend extra points (beyond Archer and Tempest) in Sabotage, like Poison Weapons. Plus with Flaming Chain it's free. I've never felt a need for a melee skill, particularly when Flask is Frost is essentially a "free hit".

Why no Thousand Cuts? I know that some people avoid it simply because it is too cheesy, which it is, but no reason was given in the video. In general, it's just as important to explain why some choices are not made as it is why some are.

EDIT: Not to mention no focus skill whatsoever. Why not at least MotR?

It's possible I missed an explanation earlier in the video, I skipped through most of the Archer and Subterfuge parts.

evade with the new shadow step gives you constant mobility and keeps flaming chain, i say why i dont get thousand cuts in the other one, i say i would swap it out for dragon and high mobs, however in this build and this idea it isn't the best, like i have said many times in forums, my builds are concepts ideas and variations, for this concept better explained in the other tempest video make this build what it is, odds are i will future make a build you are talking about, but again they are just one of many concepts ideas and variations, please respect that :)

Tempted to swap explosive arrow for poisoned weapons. Any thoughts? JoH is murdering my rogue.

What difficulty do you play on?

Nightmare with walk softly. I'm not convinced the trials affect DLC though.

This is an interesting build but I still prefer spamming abilities with Unquenchable Flames. I also really like the new upgrade for Flask of Frost. It makes shatter combos damage enemies near the shattered target. I just love the shatter combo, so it's perfect for me.

Edit: Why didn't you take Thousand Cuts?

Flask of Frost doesn't help much for an archer IMHO.

If I am playing an archer, I mostly use it for the damage resistance and to get more duration out of the other flasks.

Flask of Frost is a lot more useful for a Dual Dagger rogue.

From what little I have utilized Tempest, one of those abilities may cost a few potions for every reload or rest stop; uncertain. This seems to erase the extra slotted potion much like the Elixir, Grenade and Tonic belts. FYI

i think i explained that in the previous video, where i say to use thousand cuts when going against bosses, and dragons etc, but when not and just against normal mobs thousand cuts isn't very good. Hope that explains it :)

What?

One of those abilities and those belts allow for an extra slot for tonics and grenades. These are lost after resting or on reloading, I believe, so it can lead to a waste of resources to make them repeatedly. This is why I sell all the belts.

The belts were fixed in a patch a while back, and the additional tonics/grenades now persist through reload. The additional consumables from the Flaskmaster buff still vanish on reload, though, or at least they did through patch 10.

Thanks for tip on belts; might be an option, though I am accustomed to my own workaround.
