Whether the Inquisition folded or became the Army of the Chantry (Chantry Army?), nothing's really mentioned as to what happens to Skyhold. Is it still used by the Inquisition? The (now former) Inquisitor? Is it Divine Victoria's personal retreat? Does it become vacant again? Or is it now Dagna's very large laboratory where weird crap happens and no one dares bother to visit?

I wouldn't mind it being destroyed. It has no purpose to serve now.

The Inquisitor is in Haven at the end of the game so they probably left Skyhold. I mean seriously, Solas probably knows everything about that place.

Skyhold essentially belongs to Solas and was a gift to the Inquisitor.  It's the place where he created the veil.  I think it'll have some importance later on, but I'm not sure how.

The Inquisitor left so it should be destroyed? Thats some... logic...

I don't understand why they would abandon skyhold. Did they not heed Morrigan's advice that all before that occupied Skyhold did not know what they had? She kind of implies that it's protected and holy ground.

Also why are they back in Haven at the end? I guess like Solas explained Haven will always be special to the inquisitor in the dream cutscene with him.

Solas knows everything about Skyhold along wit it being the place he made the veil at.

It's not like Solas is kicking them out. It doesn't have to be the base of operations. Can it just be my summer home? lol

They're in Haven? I thought they were still in the Winter Palace room that had the War Table (that we don't use)...

The Archivist in the shattered library holds the memory:  "After he held back the sky to imprison the gods, the Dread Wolf disappeared". Thus Skyhold is the place where the Veil was created.

It will lie empty, until one day some new force comes to occupy it.

Solas say it to the Inquisitor: Skyhold is yours.

So why should the Inqusitior not make with Skyhold what he / she wants?

My female Inquisitor disband the Inquisition and leave. It's still hers but she allow the Divine to have Soldiers or Seekers there. Would be a good place for the new Seeker Order, by the way.

My male Inquisitor stay in Skyhold and train the few remaining soldiers for the Divine. :)

No effing way would I ever give up Skyhold, or give up on the people who built lives there.

Zombie-Leliana's epilogue slider mentions it as the place where she finally disappears, causing a ruckus in the process, so it's still occupied by at least some of our people.

They may still use it, but have decided their plans are better being headed somewhere else. Solas is likely going to go there again, so we'll see.

Essentially, they are back where they began. No army, no political support etc. (well, not none, but you get what i mean).

Even with the inquisition is still around their forces are reduced. With less funding/support from Orlais/Ferelden I can imagine keeping up Skyhold will be very expensive.

That and since Solas lead them them to that place then it'll be a large security risk; it's like keeping the lock that a thief gave you.

I don't actually know where they are. The place just looks exactly like the Haven dungeon you start the game in.

It's a classic book end, you end where you started.

Haven got nuked and buried under snow, so I doubt it's Haven. Perhaps a new undisclosed location if it isn't at Skyhold.

Tarasyl'an Te'las likely will be mostly forgotten by Thedas until Fen'Harel strikes again.

After all, disbanded Inquisitions no longer have any power over the castle.

Likely, for as long as we remain up north, it will have a similar air of mysticism as Weisshaupt has now.

Haven was excavated aftewards and had memorials put up for the victims, but I don't recall a mention of it being re-settled. Though it's possible. Even with the Temple gone, it might still be a pilgrimage site ... for being the place where the Ashes rested but now also for honoring the sacrifices of the Inquisition (at least by the few people who don't hate our guts and want us gone <_<).

Meh. They could have just reused the same map or something because it definitely looks like the same place, I'll just call it Haven until they actually announce where they moved.

I guess someone will have to define who hold the lands, I think it's between Orlais and Ferelden, it's not really in a good place to be honest , lost in the middle of the moutains , probably cost a lot to bring food etc up there.

The Chantry might take the place too , who knows.

But anyway it wasn't the Inquisitor's private property , and it didn't belong to Solas the Apostate Hobo.

I imagine the place will be again deserted after a while.
