I went to test, and the client hung up, so after a minute or so, I gave up and killed it.

Went back to the toolset to open the .mod file, and the previously 50MB .mod file now says 5KB.

I can see a temp folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Atari\Neverwinter Nights 2\, and it has what I am guessing is all the guts of the .mod. The files in there add up to about 50 MB anyway, and the names basically look right.

How do I fix all this?

Should I start a whole new Campaign in Directory mode, and import each file from there back in to a new game?

Thanks for any help.

first thing, i suggest, is copy/archive that temp folder somewhere safe(!)

Folders are very easy to work with, there's (usually) no need to "import" anything. After making the copy/backup, simply rename that temp folder to whatever your module was named before. Then load the toolset and do File|OpenDirectory... if things go smoothly you might have to then re-associate it with its Campaign.

but maybe wait for some other opinions (eg. a discrepancy is that my temp folders always appear in \My Documents - not in \Program Files)

Thank you Kev! Are you on Windows 7? I cannot remember what 7 was, but I do know 8.1 is different in where it puts the files.

In a small way I'm glad this happened. #1, it reminds me to make more frequent backups and #2, I learned a lot about where Campaign and Module assets are now.

So far everything I've dropped back in to appropriate folders, has opened up and worked.

I think it's my 50+ page design document that I'd honestly cry if I lost.

But that I keep on both physical drives on this machine, and on a USB drive.

Thanks for your help

How true. I had to lose work 2 times and restore previous versions another 2 in order to realize that frequent backups are important :).
