It'd be a snuff film made with soap opera cameras. No thanks.
Now I want to know what a soap opera camera is and where I can buy one.

I think he's trying to point out the hypocrisy that's among the reviewers.
I am thankful that I did not purchase MGSV. Not saying it's a bad game.
Good thing you didn't get suckered by the hype.

Step one, fake 120 fps. Step two, Alzheimer cameraman.
What if she wasn't on a beach? What if she was showing of to an office job in a bikini?
The point isn't that it isn't erotic, or that the erotic can't be art. The point is that it's stupid.
The beach was just an example; the office job thing is a red herring it has got nothing to do with what I am talking about. Someone arriving to an office job in a bikini would be a separate conversation. I was talking about the hypocrisy of the game reviewers who strain themselves to be as 'PC' as they can be or else feel the wrath of their Po-Mo super nannies, and get tossed headlong from their silly clique. I do not think that Quiet's dance is 'stupid', she cannot talk or write in a language that Snake can understand, if she writes in English, it can kill her, she is apparently in love or attracted to Venom Snake, how else can she express it? Her character is rather interesting, and speaking of red herrings, I think her outfit is a red herring, Kojima is an infamous troll, and he knows that the SJWs would ignore her character for the outfit, in essence doing exactly what they accuse others of doing 'objectifying'. But in this situation, it's more like an Orwellian 'two minutes hate' sort of dynamic.
Good thing you didn't get suckered by the hype.
Yeah, but he's doing a terrible job of it. When he actually makes a coherent argument I'll respond to it.
The way you 'critique' would lead one to wonder if you even know what a coherent argument is. Or are you doing something irrational, like a defense mechanism where you convince yourself that you never have to respond to anything?
MGSV is a good game regardless of the story's ending which was fine by me. The only issue the game had is that it needed more time to properly flesh out the narrative. Also another open world zone would have been nice. It's not a perfect game but I wasn't disappointed as much as I was with DAI.
It's a good video game sure, but not a good Metal Gear(storywise) game to be honest.
Great cinematography, great dialogue, well written themes, great focus on gameplay...some of the few things Kojima San would have given this franchise, but he needs about 5 plus years to actually complete the game and without publisher meddling.
Pfffttt I'd simply NOT buy it. MGS is very sub par in dialogue and themes. The gameplay if the ONLY saving grace.
Kojima lost any kind of integrity with me over Quiet. I am offended by Quiet's backstory not by her sexualization. I expect a developer NOT to treat me like a fraking moron. Kojima did so and expected me to believe that Quiet is a fully realised character, who is not fan service for teenage boys to spank the monkey to? Sorry but that's just too much BS for me believe.
If he just came out and said I wanted to make a extremely sexy companion for our fans I'd have thought at least he's being honest and not trying to bullsh!t me. Bioware has sexualized characters and I don't clamour for their removal. Although I do wish that ARMOUR was actually Fraking armour, but if a NPC wears a catsuit on the ship fine. Just don't wear it to stop mass driven bullets for christ sake.

Everyone was telling me to buy the game. Everyone was raving how much of a good game it is. I was at the register with the game in hand, and I've decided to use that money to pre-order another game.
I saw let's plays, and to be honest, I don't think I would have gotten any further than the 3rd or 4th mission. Just didn't appeal to me the same way that Deus Ex, Quantum Break, and Fallout 4 does.

I understand that and see that people who dislike the story and ending have strong points, but I still liked the twist and the villain and the characters as well as the voice acting.
I too, but I wish it didn't have a giant plot-hole that could have easily been fixed if someone actually finished mission 51 and put it in the damn game.
I do not think that Quiet's dance is 'stupid', she cannot talk or write in a language that Snake can understand, if she writes in English, it can kill her, she is apparently in love or attracted to Venom Snake, how else can she express it?
I think maybe you should take a moment to explain why that's not stupid, because that sounds pretty stupid.
Everything I've heard about Quiet and the rest of the game sounds pretty stupid, or about as stupid as the previous games, anyway.

Type a message in a language that won't kill her, then have Snake run it through a translation software.

I liked the story, as I said it's sort of like Kojima's silly retelling of Milton's Paradise Lost. It's not like Kojima lied about the story, 'it's a story that can only work in a video game medium'
Writing in English doesn't kill her.
Well, then she must think that it can because she refuses to do so

Spoiler.
Don't be silly. If the question is whether it's appropriate to criticize someone for wearing a bikini, the setting in which she was wearing the bikini is obviously relevant. I get that you were trying to load the dice there by making the criticism obviously wrong, but that just means that you picked a bad example. The beach was just an example; the office job thing is a red herring it has got nothing to do with what I am talking about. Hey, I'm glad that the fanservice worked for you. One positive aspect is we may get better boss battles.

TPP is had some pretty meh boss fights compared to the other MGS games.
True, but the last fight against the metal gear...almost perfection.

Aside from MGS1's fights, even though the B&B unit were meh characters their fights were decent.
If Kojima wrote and directed ME:A the entire game would be as nonsensical as the ME3 ending and every female character would look like Miranda in a thong.
Seriously, MGS is a dumb franchise. They're not well written games, they're just fun games that are weighed down by stupid stories and horrendous characters/dialog.
Not every female character in MGS wears a thong, or other sexy attire like Quiet recently was.
The Boss, Meryl, Naomi, the B&B corps, etc.
MGS is a great franchise that explores a lot of impressive themes and concepts about what it means to be a soldier on the battlefield, among other things. Hell, they've even brought in military advisors so they do things right.
