I'm being overwhelmed by a horde of Sha-Britol in the Bastion of the Pure.

 

It's been almost AN HOUR and

 

THEY DON'T

omg i had this same problem yesterday! I just kept killing them and they just kept coming!!!

I looked at my objective screen and it said to Break Through the horde of Sha-Britol, so that's when I realized they never stop!!! lol

I quickly mopped up the rest after I broke the barrier

I recommend a tactical retreat to the landslide and make a stand against the lesser numbers. When this dies down, then approach the barrier with more of a sense of security.

...and with the new trials... i feel i will be leveling up a tad.... is the "soft" level cap still 27?

As high as possible

 

In all seriousness take a mage with dispell and make sure you have weapons that DONT do fire-based challenge for the particularly excruciating midway battle. Whoever you've got geared best should work - and I would recommend two tanks as there are just so many mobs. But ranged fighters are better for the final fight so it's a bit of a trade-off.

what is the best level for Decent, and who is the best team to take. Really found it hard.

One thing to understand with descent is you going to the deep roads, it means you bring the strongest most offensive party possible. I ran with 2h Reaver (me), Cass (2h), Varric and Dorian.

 

Dorian is extremely useful due to horror, walking bomb and now with the new toggles he is extremely good. Get a bear sigil for him to sort out his mana issues and you are sorted.

 

The trick to this DLC is killing stuff quickly before you become overwhelmed. Finally feel free to use your consumables and keep going back to camps to resupply. Tactics used in the base game where you mostly face 3-4 enemies at a time will not work in descent

I finished descent and I am missing about 2 gears. I can't find anymore and for me the way is blocked!
