Return to the Milky Way!

Andromeda's explorers are shocked to hear that the Shepard 2.0 AI went rogue, and the Reapers are starting a new harvest in the Milky Way.

Revisit all the beloved scenery from the first three installments of the series, now rendered with higher resolution, weather and day-night-cycle provided by the fantastic frost bytes 3.5 engine!

Import your ME:3 savefile to have a rendezvous with your Shepard in the new climactic catalyst scene!

Nice try, OP.

But you're working too hard.

I actually would be okay with it.
1. Control is the only space magic end I can buy. It's not my choice but at least it kind of fits the space magic setting we had.
2. Even a paragon Shepard would be a tyrant when given unlimited power.

Nah, still destroy for me. If Shepard survived, I also choose to believe that the Geth and EDI survived.

I'll take the MEHEM as the best ending for a Milky Way sequel.. Geth and EDI  are okay. Shep is retired.  A new hero can take over.

All it needed to be perfect was the Return of the Jedi ending. Love that ending music with the celebration.

 In a perverse way, and despite hating control almost as much as synthesis, I rather like this. I seems a very fitting consequence for the hubris of those Shepards that ignored every previous, disastrous attempt to control another species that occurred in the history of the ME universe. It's a rather good way to treat the endings actually - they "happened" but the consequences were not quite what everyone thought they would be.

You could even do something similar for synthesis. 6 months later everyone, organic and synthetic alike, is coming down with some hideous techno-organic virus that threatens to turn everyone into crazed zombies. Cue our trip to Andromeda in a desperate attempt to find a cure and change everyone back to normal. And everyone agrees never to speak again of that brief, but embarrassing, period when everyone was plastered in terrible, green, circuit-board tattoos.

I would like to return in the Milky Way or at least to see what is happening there in some future games (or even in MEA). As for the endings, BW cornered themselves there and that is why we are going to Andromeda in the first place. Anyway, there shouldn't be a canon ending because a lot of the fans will be pissed no matter which one would be chosen. Hell, there are a number of people who go with the Indoctrination theory. My belief is that the plot of MEA and most likely the future ME games will be taking place in Andromeda and we will discover/learn about the fate of TMW and how our choices affect that galaxy but sadly we won't be going back.

Also Synthesis ending, best ending!

No.

My Shepard would never start the harvest cycles again.

There's no your Shepard anymore when you pick control.

Yes actually. It's still Shepard, only now he's the Reaper master cousciousness and is the most intelligent being in the galaxy. Receiving so much knowledge changes your perspective of things, but he's still himself.

Power corrupts. Maybe your shep would resist for a while but hundreds of years later he'd be a tyrant.

Control is at best a short term delay tactic. The reapers will be a threat again and shortly with that decision.

"Through his death, I was created. Through my birth, his thoughts were freed. They guide me now; give me reason, direction."

Shepard is dead.

''Eternal. Infinite. Immortal. The man I was used these words, but only now do I truly understand them. And only now do I undersant the full extent of his sacrifice. Through his death, I was created. Through my birth, his thoughts are freed. They guide me now, give me reason, direction. Just as he gave direction to the ones who followed him, the ones who helped him achieve his purpose. Now my purpose. To give the many hope for a future. To ensure that all have a voice in their future. The man I was knew that he could only achieve this by becoming something greater. There is power in control. There is wisdom in harnessing the strenghts of your enemy. I will rebuild what the many have lost. I will create a future with limitless possibilities. I will protect and sustain. I will act as a guardian for the many. And throughout it all, I will never forget. I will remember the ones who sacrificed themselves so that the many could survive. And I will watch over the ones who live on. Those who carry the memory of the man I once was. The man who gave up his life to become the one who could save the many.''

Shepard speaks as a changed person, which is very understandable. It is simply a figure of speech.

Here is an example of such figure of speech:

The man dissolved into nothing, he's dead, gone, all that's left is a God AI who thinks its Shepard.

Probably one of the cringiest endings I've ever seen. In fact, I'm trying to find an ending that made me cringe more than MEHEM. KOTOR 1 Light Side ending comes close.

Back to topic, that is precisely the reason why I never chose control. What prevents Shepard from reaching the same conclusion as the original Intelligence?

"Shepard would never do that!!!11!!! Hurr!"

Well, Shepard is just a soldier with no education (did s/he went to college?) that has absolutely no idea what it is to be in the shoes of the Intelligence.

No "Shepard AI would never restart the harvests or become a tyrant because he's Shepard AI" delusion.

Oh Shepard could restart the harvest if you think your Shepard would do so. Mine won't. Because seriously, why would he do that? He's not the Intilligence, he doesn't have a mandate to fulfill like it did. Shepard is free to do what he wants with the Reapers.

For the tyrant thing, Renegade Shepard is pretty much a tyrant in this ending.
