Hello!

I have no idea if this even goes here but didn't know where to put it.

Do people have mods running on Trespasser (but also previous dlcs)?

I have just decided to try modding so I downloaded the mod manager, clicked merge, it merged some of the things I installed and said it was successful.

But..

The game starts no problem and I can move and play in Skyhold or normal DAI areas.
If I try to go to the BE, it hangs on the loading screen forever. Tried to start the Descent mission, it holds there too.
Haven't tried Trespasser cause I need the BE to change some stuff in the mirror, but I'm sure it would do the same.

However I was able to load JoH and can move and play in the Frostback Basin..

So I don't understand. Why is this happening and how to fix it?

Any help appreciated, I'm really a mod noobie in this case.

PS I know there is a mods forums on Nexus but the last post thread made there was months ago. >.<

The Nexus DAI modding forum isn't THAT dead... I helped someone with installation issues in the last few days. [x]

 

Certain types of cosmetic mods are not usable with the BE, and will cause either black screen or even make the area inaccessible. (IIRC, it's anything that changes the skin or hair texture, and those that alter tattoos or scars.)

 

As for Trespasser... mods and the latest DLC apparently have an... uneasy relationship, from the anecdotal evidence I've seen. (Patch 10 rendered the game CTD-prone and unplayable for me, so I've no actual experience with Trespasser.) I believe this is still the current status of modding for that DLC -> Trespasser and Mods

Thank you, it could be those then. I have a "complexion" skin and a hair texture mod XD 
Too bad but I don't care that much, I mostly want it for the hair style.

Now to figure out how to remove them since I already merged them >.<
