What are some of your most-loved-but-never-seen-in-PUGs classes?

 

The QME, for apparently not obvious reasons, is one of my 3 favorite kits. You've got CC, shield stripping, armor damage, boss killing, decent passives, good health. He is tech-bursting, kill-streak earning, crowd-controlling, fire-exploding (Quarian) master (race). I never see this kit.

 

Same goes for the Falcon GE. Falcon stagger, OL stagger, tech burst stagger, he is a Phantom-bullshit-negating badass toaster with a ton of utility. I never see this kit.

 

Drelldept. Spawn-nuking, fast-moving assassin in a badmutha black trenchcoat. I never see this kit.

 

I see a ton of soldiers, usually Juggs, infiltrators, esp. the Sexbot, along with a few classes I'll never understand, but the aforementioned are an amazing trio that I just do not see, and for the love of Drell I will never understand it.

On the flip side, all I ever see are Juggs,AIUs and TGIs. It gets very annoying to see the same thing repeatedly on PS3. It's refreshing when I see rarely used kits in random lobbies.

I haven't really played random games in a long time, but when I did, there weren't very many who played Turian Sentinel despite the fact that he is a cool guy.

Ah TGI, how could I have forgotten that lol. Only see it every other lobby.

 

BatSol is another one, great class, handles all factions reasonably well, never see it. Love that class.

Several from my perspective. Most of the playerbase doesn't seem to understand how effective the below kits are:

Vorcha Soldier - Overshadowed by the Vset and GT, he is also really powerful and resillient

 

Human Engineer - Is there a more diverse kit in the game? One you can comfortably take into any difficulty random set up and have an answer for everything?

 

Human Adept - Big boom specialist crushes Reapers and Collectors, and still effective against the other factions.

 

Salarian & Drell Infiltrators - These kits seem to be overshadowed by other infiltrators, but these are two of the most powerful and diverse kits in the game. Both have excellent survivability

Agreed, HA/E are overlooked too often, maybe b/c vanilla?, SI/DAI are powerhouses, esp DAI.

Gameplay: Carnage, Frag, shoot if anything left (many times there isn't)

 

PS. Feel free to swap out the weapon to something more preferred. I will say that Carnage doesn't have a great base CD, so I do tend to stick with something a little lighter than a Claymore

It was rare to see the AA.

Among my top 10 kits, the ones rarely seen are
1. Smashdept
2. Smashguard
3. Saboteur

Awakened collector and SE are rare sightings too.
I do see drell from time to time though - the vanguard a bit less than the other two.

@Kenny -  I played that kit for the first time since the very beginning the other day on a pre set Cerberus match. It was one of the easiest Cerby matches I have ever played.

 

I can see with a little practice that the AA would roflstomp this game

I hardly ever see PUGs come into a lobby with a Submission Net character.  I like the BatSent and Vorcha Hunter quite a bit.

I play the Human Engineer all the time. He's one of my top favorites. Top ten with a bullet.

 

All the base humans are rarely seen, in my experience. I play all six of them all the time. They're my most-played by far, but I'm usually the only one playing a base human.

 

But generally, if it's anything other than a Geth Juggernaut, Geth Infiltrator, Acolyte Geth Soldier, Harrier TGI, Drell Infiltrator, Reeger AIU, or Talon Terc, it falls firmly under the category of kits you never see.

Only seems like people on my FL or other BSNers ever use

 

Last year a guy with a mic asked / told me in lobby he wouldn't start the match until I switched to a "good kit" .. I was set to use a GI / Hurricane that match

Interesting that a couple of people mentioned the Awakened Collector, I do see a reasonable number of those, in Silver and Gold.  Not in every game, but I don't think it unusual when I see them.

Sometimes, I use venom + omni-blade. Focus is mainly on tech bursts and melee. 

 

On rare occasions, I use eviscerator (SC/HVB) and the focus on melee will be a bit less in that case (because no omni-blade or blade attachment).

i force myself to play all the classes .

my skills with each one goes from  " wow.  brilliant"  to " man, you're pathetic " ... but it's fun 90% of the time. 

 

same for weapons.

i hardly see any non flaming vorchas or GTs  or non SnapFreeze Paladins. 

and yesterday for the first time i came across a Widow HI , which is one of my favorites.

I see reasonable diversity on PS3... seen Valkyries, smashdepts... even smashguard. An occasional drell pops out every now and then, though most often they are infiltrators and played rather poorly. Had a pleasure of doing a game with a drelldept, where I was drellguard... vs Cerberus on Glacier. One of the smoothest games ever

Seriously, I've seen pretty much every kit. That said, juggies, AIUs and TGIs still dominate the lobbies, I think. A lot of warlords as well, but again, most of them are sync magnets. Lot of Destroyers and Furies as well. Rarely see a fat turian(any of them) and when I do, they usually suck. Asari are... quite common. Not as common as I would like, but to my surprise, I see a lot more of them than I would expect. Valkyrie seems to be the rarest though.

In general, the "tough" kits, like jugg, Destroyer and krogan of any kind seem prevalent, while the "squishy" kits, like drell, asari and basic humans are a lot less common. That's my observation at least.

 

Surprisingly, I see a lot of voluses... and not surprisingly, I get a lot of shield boosting and quite less shooting the enemies from them.
