Aren't they going to do the same map together and see who scores highest?

+1

would be the true test, not only of Lordness, but the opportunity to have each other's backs (or not).

Shorter than 20. Tevinter...

BS proto, at level 10 you may go after flank attack upgraded or I was never here for the stealth aspect since you wont tank with assassin at zone 5 in NM. That means the other attacks hidden blades or flank attack with not get upgraded, to do the run under 20 mins not easy,

No way, Drasca agrees to this just like the last thunderdome. And with luke saying that he's "thee" promotion lord Drasca has got all the validation he ever needed.

Doesn't Rock win by default since we know Drasca won't post a video?

Luke didn't say it. Billy was the one giving him all the props. It was a pretty lengthy shoutout!

Took less than 11 minutes for Rock to get to Zone 5 with the team on stream. I doubt not having a team slows him down more than 5 minutes. Zone 5 may take longer than 5 minutes but probably not too much longer.

If they bring resist pots it shouldn't be too big of an issue to complete. 20 minutes seems doable. They'll probably run a build similar to this:

http://da-skills.net...0,010,0c100,110

May choose to skip flank attack and use fallback. Up to the user I suppose. Level 11 would be nice just so they could get whichever of Cull the Herd / Hidden Blades Upgrade / IWNH they have to skip at level 10.

This is all hypothetical, though.

Yeah, sometimes he under-estimates things like this.  The Assassin just isn't that good outside of a team environment where other people are drawing aggro.  You would need to play very conservatively, most likely grabbing I Was Never Here.  That would mean no Deathblow, and Cull the Herd would be pretty useless.

I just attempted a quick run with my level 10 Assassin.  I was too lazy to re-spec, so I had a bunch of offensive stuff from the left tree and nothing from the stealthy tree.  Made it most of the way through zone 3 in about 13 minutes.  Most of my time was spent dodging Mage and Spellbinder ranged attacks while running away from Stalkers and Brutes.  The Stalkers habit of jumping away from you when you Twin Fang out of Stealth is super annoying, as is their constant dancing/slashing attack.

Scrub. Take "I was never here" and you're in zone 5 less than 15 minutes. Guarantee it.

That was the main point of this..to show that it actually is difficult to do a low lvl assassin in NM. We see you are figuring it out by yourselves ;P

Will never happen. Rock doesn't play with me outside of Beta so he's off my friend's list. He's cool though.

I know it's important, which is why I made sure to tell that I didn't have it.  It still doesn't change the fact that enemies can see you coming out of Stealth, negating any flanking damage you would get, along with dodging or attacking you in the process.

I'm sure everyone already knew it was difficult.  Patience makes it possible though.

I do level 1 assassin in NM a lot. If anything Rock and I should do a joint team game and demonstrate how awesome we're at the game together. I give Rock a hard time because he's really really good at the game and can take it.

I don't actually know how good/bad his assassin game is, and I'm sure its better than most players, but I will still give him a hard time about it. Choked on stream, what a scrub lord lol. His ego can take it.

The Stalkers habit of jumping away from you when you Twin Fang out of Stealth is super annoying, as is their constant dancing/slashing attack.

That's why you don't try to TF them from stealth. They have the sideways dodge and TF takes too long. Hidden Blades or Deathblow, or even basic attack works.

As for the dancing/slash, they cannot hit you while you are walking away from them.

The assassin is definitely a high skill level character, but do-able in the right hands. I also find it easier on KB&M than controller due to the previously aforementioned differences in targetting and controls. Having precise control over movement and targetting is a big deal.

Only a few enemies can actually remove stealth and none can see you until stealth is broken. The delay in between coming out of steath and TF's animation time gives certain agile enemies time to dodge though (DD's, Stalkers). You learn this as an assasin and learn not to use TF on them directly from stealth.

There is targetting before steath continuing after stealth, but that's a whole other mechanic not related to stealth.

I don't want to waste a nice Stealth damage bonus on an auto-attack, and I'm certainly not going to Deathblow a full health enemy.  Twin Fangs is the best opener that the Assassin has other than Hidden Blades  The point is that Twin Fangs should be able to hit before an enemy turned the other way can notice you coming out of Stealth.

As for the dancing/slash, they cannot hit you while you are walking away from them.

I understand this.  Do you understand that spending most of the time between Stealth cooldowns having to run away from one or more Stalkers dancing at you is annoying and a massive waste of time?

Don't even try to start this **** again.

Even if you get there in 15 mins, how long for zone 5 fight? 5 to 7? then we are over 20 right? this is solo and lots of things has to go right.

Nope, I was wrong. Pain in the ass, need that immunity to knockdown amulet. Took me over 20 to get through Zone 4.

Maybe Rock/Drasca with a little bit more damage/tank ability could do it. But, not I.
