That was complete garbage! Lots of garbage to salvage. One chest had like 24 salvageable items in it. That must be the cool thing. Also got a dragon chest. With 1 call and more stuff to salvage. Best thing in any of the 4 chests was a dragon great sword..... Pathetic attempt to make something cool for the reward.

I think that one time Luke gave us a dragon weapon in a chest really skewed everyone's expectation. However this reward surely was underwhelming. Really kills the motivation to catch them all from now on. Now if they give hakkon for all 25 weeks (5 chapters) completed then only the thickest of beards on the neck can complete. Those guys prob all have all hakkon and 2nd dagger already.

While I'm sure - for me at least - the reward is likely underwhelming, I think we often forget that there are other low leveled players out there who participate, and that they're likely happy with what they've been given. I'm assuming most of us here have poured in at least 500-600 hours at a minimum, and likely have a good number if not most of the high end gear; including a couple Hakkon Weapons.

 

It would have been if there was something more specialized for players like us, but players like us are in the minority.

The only pathetic thing I see here is the tone of the original post.  Seriously, there are better ways to express dissatisfaction than completely insulting the developers who are in this forum regularly interacting with us and trying to make the game better.  I guess I shouldn't expect anything better from the internetz, but I'm kinda disgusted right now and hope Luke and the others don't think the OP speaks for everyone.

Yes, we all have our breaking point, and I guess Rick's post pushed me over mine.  Something about making a new thread just to call a gift from the developers "garbage" and "pathetic" is really distastful and just ... blech.

It was a extra large chest worth 3 chests? also got a call of the dragon chest, but except for dragon call i salvaged all

I got 3 chests as well and my victory chest contained... 3 drakescale armors (all rogues) which thanks I guess except I was almost done with the challenge to get all of them. I'll say I guess it was nice esp. for people starting out but like most people I was holding out for one of the level rare items that have a low drop and not something that you're already guaranteed to get by playing the game.

This is another thing I didn't set my expectations too high for. It seems to be the key to me enjoy what I can of this game.

Druffy commander was a fun surprise though. Too bad the frequency was set too low so I got to see it like one time. But this chest thing is just business as usual.

We envision them as he wrote the original Bethanny and what we get is the in game Bethany, breast reduction and claws for hands.

The reward was said more than once to be something "special" and be a "pretty cool" reward well worth the effort.  Bioware was disingenuous at best, and straight up liars at worst, and the community is understandably upset, myself included.

I've seen this for a bit and well Book 2 wasn't by Varric. It was by the advisors. It's why most of the missives were from Josephine instead of anything well, funny.
