These guys have no range cap and spawn in the tower

 

With no range attack in the party it will never come down and there is no way to attack it

Is this specifically on wave 4? Fixing the issue would be tricky to get out quickly but we can server override the wave 4 creatures so there isn't a mage in the qunari faction there.

I'd say yes, because that is the only place where they are able to jump onto a wall and no one can get to them, if there is no ranged character.

 

Had it happen only once yet, luckily we had a hunter in the team, otherwise we would've had to quit. (I was a Necro, but dead in the Fade and couldn't help  :( )

Even with ranged, sometimes they are back far enough that they cannot be targeted.  This is the first spawn point on zone 4.  Looking at the treasure room door from the outside, it would be to the right, on top of the wall.  The mages spawn in that little castle area and sometimes are back in the corner and cannot be targeted at all sometimes.

the saarabas' tend to stay in both towers until someone goes to disturb them, one tower is easily accessible, the other not. so a mage stays there and tries to shoot bolts and doesn't come down.

Even if they can't be targeted, if you're patient and can get an idea of where exactly they are in the tower you can try to manually aim at and hit them with some sort of ranged attack.

I managed to draw one down by hitting it a couple times with Hidden Blades.

The leap of these guys is so hilarioulsy over the top powerful.  Was in a perilous game, think it was eleven ruins.  Myself and another guy are battling one near the end of the level, a keeper joins at the start point.  The thing leaps out of our view all the way over to the start, kills the keeper and then leaps back to keep beating on the lego in the group.

True but not always an option if you are not on PC.  Spawn camping seems to work but annoying if you don't have anyone ranged that can block that spawn and still shoot at stuff.

It's like Key Glitch 2.0 if you have no range or are solo running with no range.

Yes wave 4 is the only place.....

 

Its the first tower to the right just b4 the loot room

I've had a Saarebas not want to leave the spawn tower in Zone 4 (I was soloing and had no ranged attack).

 

Ended up going all the way back to the zone 3-4 door before he decided he didn't have line of sight anymore. I had done some testing with Death Siphon because I wanted to know the range on it and I found that the range is "inside the same zone" and technically the transition rooms don't count as the same zone (may still be counted as Zone 3 or as Zone 3.5. Doesn't matter, works either way). I had to leave the zone before the Saarebas decided he couldn't see me anymore. Leaving the zone seems to have reset the AI to search mode and he jumped down.

 

May require further testing. Luckily FC is the same map and we don't have to worry about the zone 3-4 transition room being cut off.

and by fixed I mean I swapped out the Saarebas for a different creature on wave 4. This will unfortunately affect all maps, not just FC.

Edit: Just had a match in perilous FC against Qunari and didn't meet any Saarebas on wave 4.

My way to get even the score is to bring your own Saarebas and jump up there with the finishing jump and stay up there and see how frustrated the melee mobs get when they can't get to you.

So, um, yea despair demons are getting stuck up there too so you will have to remove them as well.....and assassins....and bolters....and mages.....and only on NM.

Weird.  I just fought a bunch of saarebas on zone 4 of FC (against the "druffy" faction).

 

Maybe Luke forgot to remove them from this faction.
