Please include them in DA4 using their original forms Bioware. They were sorely missed in DAI.

I'd be happy to have more Desire Demons in DA4, as long as they do what Imshael does and change their appearance depending on circumstances. 'Floating purple women with horns and nipple chains' are not universal objects of desire, and it doesn't make much sense that Kitty in DAO or Allure in DA2 show up in that form.

Yes, as long as there are male Desire Demons too, their lithe, muscular purple bodies dewy with oil and wearing flimsy, bejeweled banana hammocks. None of this Imshael fully clothed nonsense- as much as I adored the character, he looked like an Elder Scrolls Breton circa "Oblivion."

Ditto the desire (pun only partially unintentional) for a male version of the desire demon. Desire comes in many forms, not merely sexual lust for the female form. At least if there are male and female forms, it displays that desire demons will change based on the tastes of a given character. Since desire demons draw influence from succubi and incubi, they should be shapeshifters, and there's absolutely no reason for them to have only a default appearance as a naked woman caressing herself. At the least, we should see a male version of the same.

 

It'd be really nice if, in the course of the same quest, we could see the desire demon change its appearance based on the player's interactions - like they offer a choice, and the dialogue option includes a 'you're not my type' dialogue and so they change which gender they appear as.

Eccccccch. If they're just there to kill, then what does it matter what they look like? Just go with the classic model, or not at all. I tire of this debate.

Imshael is a Choice Spirit Desire Demon. He just doesn't have the traditional model.

 

Torpor is a Sloth Demon, and they also seem quite talkative and given to making deals, assuming they can be bothered. (The one in the mage origin will also make a deal with you, and the one that traps you during Broken Circle is pretty chatty.) There's also a Hunger Demon in the Deep Roads in DA2 that's willing to deal with you, but it seemed unusually intelligent for a Hunger Demon.

One ******* who knows jack about demons calls Imshael a desire demon and everyone starts touting that line.

 

But yeah, by all means, bring them back. Go classic, or redesign to bring in some variety. Maybe go to the original idea where they were meant to be more androgynous if graphics have advanced enough to where you don't run the risk of making them look under aged. If not, then make them out and out shape changers like they're supposed to be, though Envy kind of aped that shtick.

It would be actually pretty easy to include both a male and female version, if they're not trying to only "seduce" our protagonist. Maybe a sequence like in DA2, where our companions have been present?

I'd just like to see more demons, that are actually intelligent and talkative. Not just roaring monsters, but wicked beings who have their way with words and manipulation.

I'd prefer that if they do make a return they do not serve in the mook role: They are suppose to be amongst the very intelligent and very subtle of demons so I'd like for them to behave the way Envy did in that they are a psychological horror that you encounter with some shapeshifting added for further effect.

I'd love to see the reaction of some of the people on the BSN if we got this guy. I'm guessing that the most vocal 'we want demon boobie' fans wouldn't be happy. 'Cause usually, sexualized images are only okay with those guys if its' a woman being sexualized. Their feelings get hurt when a man is treated that way (or perhaps they get some feelings they aren't so comfortable with, who knows?)

 

In all honesty though, this guy wouldn't get my protagonist all hot and bothered either. I think both the male and female versions look (would look) ridiculous and question the sanity of any Inquisitor that gets all hot in the pants over them.
