Bah, reading is fun. You just have to be a speed reader where DAI is concerned.

I prefer the beautiful soundtrack of Trespasser over Morrigan's voice any day.

You know she narrated the end of DA:I with music playing too, right? Those aren't mutually exclusive.

Somebody never played DAO. In the epilouge of DAO there was no narrator and it was heavily text driven.

Played Origins over and over and like to revisit it at least once a year but each release gets more involved and has more features in it. To view which bioware games forum members have played view the badges under our names. :)

If bioware was against narrating the endings why have it at the end of the main game for DAI? I feel like the ending for trespasser and the overall ending for DAI was rushed and cast aside with zilch atmosphere or effort. But that's my opinion. I like detail, character and atmosphere with my endings .... I dunno., I'm cray! Haha.

Budget, dawg. They had a DLC budget (and final DLC budget, no less. So they were probably counting their pennies at that point), not main game budget. VOs require paying people.

Cassandra's voice actor could have done it, instead of the unnecessary lines during the credits, which are clicked away by the majority of the people.

That's a shame, I find her voice (and the voice actress of Cass) to be delicious.

I wanted to hear Varric in  the ending , to hear him one last time .:/
but after the ending when the  names star
showing, you can hear   Cassandra reading the last Sword and Shield edition ^^

Yeah this is what I think came into account. Budget and perhaps changing the ending once the voice actors left-the-mic so to speak. In an ideal universe you'd kind of wish that some of the actors felt passionately enough about the game to come into the studio for a few hours on a day off and finish things off though. Hint hint. Haha.

Am I the only one who read everything fine in the ending?

Although I agree, they should slow it down for the sake of others. Until then, just record it and then you can pause whenever you want.

I think you'd still have to rent time in a recording studio and I believe recording sessions can be very expensive.

I ran a band promo company for around four years.. I understand this. BUT I also understand the power of passion for art forms. When you put the FULL effort in you'd be surprised what you can achieve for free.. But aside from that at $25 a dlc for us Aussies that's big cash plus the backing of EA who is literally flooded with money from this series (seriously play Dragon Age on the App Store and try buying the best characters on there with their micro transaction packs ... You'll go through $1,000 in about one hour).

I'm not accepting budget as an issue unless stated by bioware themselves. Sorry guys! My feedback still stands!

Okay? The thread is mostly about whether it should have narration, not who should do it. I didn't even suggest her, I suggested Varric. But someone not liking a person's voice isn't a good enough reason for their character not to do something. I'm not trying to sound rude, but coming in here just to say you don't like someone's voice is... well, rude.

For a $15 DLC billed as the final conclusion for the Inquisition story, the epilogue certainly feels cheap and unpolished. Even with many possible endings, each 'slide' is only 1-2 sentences long. How could Bioware not have the money or time to do such basic voice overs? Especially when they have the time to do the fun, but mostly useless banter during the credits roll.

Also the drawings on the epilogue are just a bunch of basic sketches, which look lame compared to the proper artwork for the original DAI epilogue.

If the narrator has to be Morrigan then no, the trespasser soundtrack only was a wonderful choice from bioware part.
If the narrator would have been Varric, however you made a reasonable point, dammit is his job after all.

Too fast, plus it is hard to read with teary eyes (thanks to music... I really love Trespasser´s music) ;) and I didn´t want to miss anything... thus a lot of printscreens to read and admire the art later ;)

Duncan's VA should be the narrator for every DA game.

Seriously, his voice set the whole tone for Origins.

RIP- You are the iconic face and voice of Dragon Age, Duncan

Shoulda been Cass.

Mother Giselle or Scout Harding would have been good choices to narrate the epilogue.
