Ancient Elves were at war with Titans?

So that's what happened
1. Evarnuis'es were at war with Titans
2. Mythal won
3. Elves began to dig lyrium
4. They found something terrible
5. They decided to abandon their mines and sealed all antrances
6. Some time later they remembered about it and decided to use it
7. Mythal objected
8. Mythal was killed by other Evanuris
9. Fen'Harel created a vale to stop Evanuris

Possibly , although I doubt they just stumble on something bad , I think they created something bad.
They didn't went down there just for lyrium , it seems they cast a big spell to make something bloom , and that's when things went wrong.
But yes it's possible the Evanuris decided to use what I assume was Red Lyrium , there's tales of Andruil going crazy afterall.

Blight probably.

If the Corruption already existed and wasn't created by the Magisters, then does that mean the Evanuris could have created it?
I'l theorize a bit below:
Or what if Solas creating the Veil had some unforeseen consequence? Splitting the world into two, the waking world and the Fade, could have torn the fabric of space, making it bleed its essence to the Void. The magic in there could have become polluted or twisted by this, becoming corrupted...and corrupting the Evanuris.
The consequence would be the destruction of Elvenan, capital of the Elven empire, which could have become the Black City, and the creation of the Corruption, which the Magisters found.

Except Solas created the veil AFTER Mythal was killed by the Evanuris, and the whole incursion on the Deep Roads had Mythal still alive.

It being the blight (or the source of the blight) could also be supported by the codexes regarding Andruil venturing into the void and becoming madder and madder ,finally fighting with Mythal who made Andruil forget about the position.

Except that The Void seems linked to Lyrium (Anvil of the Void; you can't make armor out of the Taint, but you can make it out of Lyrium) and we know that Lyrium drives people mad. On top of that, Solas doesn't seem to know much about the Taint at all, so it is reasonable to say that perhaps it really wasn't around back then.

I recently played Descent - I'm not sure it makes sense to talk about "titans" as if they are a thing you could be at war with really. There's a reference to a long past event "splitting the dwarves in two" and Solas has a line about the dwarves being the arm of a once mighty hero. The titans seem closer to a force of nature, if not a part of the world. Being at war with them might be like being at war with the Fade.
That was kinda my impression as well. They are beings who simply shape the world/ Stone within and without. It's not malicious, it's just doing it's purpose .... but doing so creates earthquakes that destroys the work/ cities of Elves and might even threaten their lives.
If we think of it from that POV then I can understand why the Evanuris originally hunted them down ... up until they discovered their blood boosts magic

I'm not sure I'd say they're benevolent either. The dwarf we run with seems enamoured with them after gettng lyrium blasted... but the Shar-whatever are all coo-coo for cocopuffs, and we get attacked by a creature that looks a hell of a lot like the Ancient Rock Wraith from DA2, except not powered by red lyrium.
The Titants have some tie with to the Fade. Spirits "hear" their song in the Fade, too - remember that Justice says he can hear lyrium sing. Red lyrium signs too, but it has the blight - which according to what we learn from Bianca isn't intrinsic to red lyrium (or rather, red lyrium "has" the blight, so presumably it was blue lyrium at one point). A long time ago DG confirmed that the darkspawn magic comes from a different source from regular magic (and not the Fade). We saw a dwarf "cast" magic after being affected in some way by a titan.
We don't know what the Fade was really like before Solas created the Veil, but Titans are clearly tied to it. Especially since the one we "met" in Descent woke up when the Breach was created.
We assume the Calling is something tied to the OGs. But maybe there's a Red Lyrium Titan who's actually doing it, and the OGs are just another type of being that gets blighted as the darkspawn search for the Titan. Except the OGs - even moreso than Corypheus - can somehow exert a pull over the blight. So they're driven insane, but in a different way.

Well, if we consider the Titans to be avatars of the World, then the Evanuris were avatars of the Fade. Seems entirely reasonable those two groups would war with each other.

The thing in the middle of that slain Titan looks like an Orb to me. You can see the same symbol on the fresco in the shattered library above what is propably Mythal and Elgar'nan. I think thats what the Inquisitor refers to as the "something else" they got from killing Titans.

It could be armor like the one Samson crafts (ie blight-infected lyrium). If it wasn't the blight or the source of the blight, then what was encountered while mining lyrium that terrified the elvhen people and made them seal all entrances?

I don't know. That could've very well been the Blight. But! It took the Elves by surprise, doesn't seem likely that they'd have a name for it. Especially not the Void... what does a Void have to do with the Blight?
It makes sense that Lyrium would be called the Void, if it can resist the Fade. To Fadeborn beings like the ancient elves, any place without Fade would be a Void. The Taint, on the other hand, does not create emptiness and it does not resist the Fade.

I think this was in the Deep Roads part, you go back after you get the explosion ability from your mark.

Well Mythal uses the form of a dragon - let's suppose the others did as well. It would make sense with corrupted old gods or Evanuris being arch demons.

But why would they war? Heaven against Earth. Why? Did something happen that provoked this? What could it be?
And could it be related to the war Solas tells our Inq. about, the one where the Evanuris fought and that made them ascend to godhood in the eyes of other elven?
I'm just speculating here...

Except Solas is pretty firm when he says that nothing in Elven culture is linked to the Arch Demons. He walks a tight line in DAI but doesn't actually blatantly lie.
Also Arch Demon commanding entire Darkspawn Horde is beyond just simple power.
Arch Demon = Evanuris doesn't fit the plot.

No, he says nothing in any LORE connects the two. He does not say they aren't connected, which is clearly a lie, given all the similarities between Dumat and Dirthamen. Though I agree that the Archdemons are not the Evanuris themselves.

Titans create destructive earthquakes, Titans like their dominion to remain unchanging and theirs (the elves wanted it to be theirs and malleable) , the elves thought the Dwarves were nothing but slaves and wanted to free them... The Titans have crystallized magic for blood...
So many good reasons for them to war.

Indeed.
Elgar'nan, Wrath and Thunder,
Give us glory.
Give us victory, over the Earth that shakes our cities.
Strike the usurpers with your lightning.
Burn the ground under your gaze.
Bring Winged Death against those who throw down our work.
Elgar'nan, help us tame the land.
──Song to Elgar'nan, found in the Temple of Mythal, Author unknown
Though it seems less free and more grant a merciful death.
(This elven writing found in the Arbor Wilds is so old as to be incomprehensible.
There are whispers from the Well of Sorrows. It's impossible to understand the entire text, but certain parts suddenly reveal a shadow of their original meaning.
"In this place we prepare to hunt the pillars of the earth. Their workers scurry, witless, soulless. This death will be a mercy. We will make the earth blossom with their passing."
For one moment there is a vivid image of two overlapping spheres; unknown flowers bloom inside their centers. Then it fades.)
