I went all the way through DAO twice before discovering the magic (and sometimes curse) of mods.  Once I got the hang of it, I went crazy and added way too many mods.  Most would be easy enough to delete from the override file, but there's one series of mods (the ones I really want to get rid of) that appear to nest themselves elsewhere and I don't know what to do to get rid of them.

 

So, should I do a complete uninstall then reinstall DAO?  Should I save certain folders to preserve certain world states I would like to like to carry on into Awakening and beyond?

I (or someone else) might be able to give some advice, if we knew what were the mods in question.

The "Sappho sisters" mods.  For me, at least, they hijack the game, ruin the "suspension of reality", etc.

it depends on which of the Sappho's mods you have installed.  The last I recall, they don't use dazip files?  If there weren't any dazip files then you just need to delete them from your override directory.  You may or may not need to start from a Save before they were installed. 

 

If all else fails you should be able to delete ALL mods and keep the two playthroughs you have before you discovered mods.

Unfortunately, I did download some of the more ambitious mods that used dazip.  I looked elsewhere in Dragon Age folders and found some Sappho files, but even after deleting them, they still kicked into action when I restarted Origins.  Oh well...

Do the Sappho's mods use a dazip file?  And did you play the Sappho's mods from the beginning of the game?
