I just remember not wanting to draw certain factions back when and realizing that wiping was a posibilty. In Threatening or Perilous. It sucked sure but the xp still went into the promotion pool.
If you thought that was terrible design back then...shouldn't it be terrible design now?
And isn't that the whole point of difficulty levels? Want something harder than Routine? Go to Threatening. Want something harder than Threatening? Go to Perilous. Want something harder than Perilous? Go to Nightmare. Want something harder than Nightmare? Go to Heartbreaker. Want something harder than Heartbreaker? You're out of luck apparently.
I mean, we're not talking about a horribly balanced group complaining about a specific faction because they're all playing the same class or something (and thus might be worse against certain factions). We're talking about a reasonable group composition with players skilled enough to handle that difficulty level...until the Qunari were introduced. And it's not a matter of the Qunari just being different/new...it's about the Qunari literally just being stronger. More abilities, more damage, more armor, more HP, etc.
