Would probably be easiest to just narrow the shoulders of the male clothes if the clothing style is unisex (as I expect it is for Circle robes, though not the Chantry robes), since the builds between sexes at that age are indistinguishable.  For distinctly female clothing styles, though, you should be able to smooth down the chests of the adult clothes in whatever program you're using.

The females have a different style. The males have a shoulder cape, the females don't.

Give this a try and see what it looks like in-game. Still has child-bearing hips, but one thing at a time:

< Edit: Depreciated, uploaded to the Nexus >

Overwrite the existing GDA. It's added as a new entry "Kid Apprentice Robe (Girl) A". I changed the entries for other robes and noble clothes to "(Boy)".

Thank you DP. I can't test it until this afternoon.. but will do so asap :)

Edited to add~ Wow, they look wonderful in the toolset. I exported all the circle kids I could find equipped with the robes. I'll test it later. :)

Cool. I'll redo all those male versions using the Elf male as a base instead of the Human male, should decrease the collar a bit and the giant Hulk hands. I can probably do a reshaped noble female dress for the girls as well, if that is needed.

I personally don't need female noble kid clothes, but I'm sure somebody does. :D I was trying to think of where else in the story there are female children of noble birth... And I drew a blank.

Thank you

I've been working on revising the gear of all the NPCs, and  don't think there are any noble girls in the vanilla game, actually, even in Denerim. But a noble kid dress might have some use, (albeit limited) as a modder's resource and for vanity projects like screencapping 'kid' versions of someone's Warden, though. (You'd be surprised how many of us nutters waste time on things like this nonsense (screencaps of my Cousland Warden @ around age 10, and with her family):

^^ :D ^^ I'm going to go to an early save in the tower (mage) to make sure the students in the library are wearing the robes. I think there are 3 kids there also.

I could do the same reshaping for the female commoner clothes.

*nods* I found three in the mage origin and three in Broken Circle, two boys and a girl in each.

There are quite a few styles in commoner clothing. As you already know :D I'm sure someone could use them.

Is the little girl in Honnleath a mage? Is that why the demon was attracted to her? Oh the possibilities!! :)

Added commoner clothes for boys, noble & commoner clothes and the B variant apprentice robes for girls, swapped the source meshes for the existing boy outfits from Human male to Elf male (although the collars are still oversized). I also added the unused variant of the male Chantry robes as a potential unisex mage robes option. It would need some custom textures, so I gave it custom MAOs to make it easy for anyone that wants to do that.

< Edit: Depreciated, uploaded to the Nexus >

I'm not sure how the girl versions will go. The textures all have shadowing for a now non-existent chest overhang, as well as various piping/trim/etc. to draw focus to the chest (like the apprentice B robes). I also had to reshape the neck of the commoner and noble meshes, as the lower neck of the kid head mesh was clipping through it. I'm not sure what might happen during neck turning animations.

I am the SLOWEST, most fits-and-starts player of any game ever, but I FINALLY managed to make it to the Circle Tower, and to my eyes, the apprentice robes for the girls are absolutely wonderful. I think that the silhouette has a slight suggestion of a womanly contour is fine... the lore hints broadly that most mages come into their magical abilities in early adolescence, after all.

Also, corseting children was often a practice in pre-modern eras in our world, and as Thedan adult women are clearly wearing stays or corsets, it is likely the practice would be extended to pubescent (or even younger) girls.

And again, thank you, so much!

DP.. here is a quick texture adjustment for the mage robe/female. How do I fix the dds so it does not retex the adult robes? I can't remember.

The models (all 3 LODs) will need custom MAOs. The MAOs can then point to different textures. I probably should have done that ahead of time. Try these in the meantime. Overwrite the original MMHs. Edit the MAOs as appropriate in a text editor.

< Edit: Depreciated, uploaded to the Nexus >

Edit: Whoops, I forgot to actually edit the names in the MAOs themselves, rookie mistake. Redownload if you already grabbed it.

Thank you!!!!. I remember now. This mage robe and a couple of the commoner clothes should be the only ones that need it. :)

Cool. I'll break out all the other ones as well for both sexes, that way they are there if anyone wants to retexture.

I also shortened the pigtails on the girl hair so they don't clip into the shoulders:

DAO_Kid_Girl_Pigtails_Shortened_TH.jpg

I'll add that as an optional file on the Nexus.

Edit: Done. Updated the mod on the Nexus. All models now use custom MAOs (which point at the vanilla textures, unless you decide to edit them). I added the modified girl hair mesh as well.

I fixed all the files for the female kid robes shown above. The lod2's should be 512x512 and lod3's are 256x256?. There are no specular maps with these robes, correct? Thanks again :)

Yeah 1024/512/256 is probably sufficient. No point going larger unless you are completely redoing them from scratch.

The spec maps for the female robes are pf_rob_appX_0s/pf_rob_appX_0sL2/pf_rob_appX_0sL3, where X is either A or B.

LOD0 has diffuse/specular/tint/normal maps. LOD2/3 just have diffuse/specular/tint maps. Should be easy to spot:

Texture Name="mml_tDiffuse"
Texture Name="mml_tSpecularMask"
Texture Name="mml_tTintMask"
Texture Name="mml_tNormalMap"
