Don't worry, Bioware wants us all to forget about Awakening because it was a commercial flop. We'll never see any of those characters again, despite it having the best companions in the franchise.

It really did not. Sigrun was OK, and that was about it. And DA:A Anders/Nathaniel. Otherwise, generally a bust.

I'd say they made sure we'll never forget Awakening:

I think Solas is only approaching the elves who are desperate enough to leave everything behind and follow him.

All the elves who are fairly comfortable where they are aren't going to disappear. Especially Sera and Fenris, because they both hate mages and magic in general. Although Solas might find it somewhat hilarious to see a modern elf having lyrium marks. It might make him nostalgic.

They signed up to stop the blight from destroying the world, IDK if they'd sign up with someone else who wants to do it albeit without the blight.

That's a good point. it may indeed be a YMMV situation depending on your own thoughts on your Warden.  Some might be more willing to heed Solas' call than others, depending on their situation, relationships, etc.  Some might even think they could halt/divert him?

Yup, that's why Anders was a very important character in DA2....

I'd love to see Velanna show up as the super pro elf mage lieutenant. My Warden May have spared her, but my other PC, be it Inky or otherwise, would send her on her grisly way.

What of elven Wardens, I wonder?

They got the Taint. Plus, Solas is allergic to wardens. They're like...ewww...

And a romance option? :P

Can't lie. If the option existed I'd pursue it. It'd be the angriest love scene ever.

I can't imagine many Dalish, Merrill included, flocking to the Dread Wolf's banner.  He's basically the equivalent of Christianity's devil to them.

Which is a shame, because Awakening was pretty cool. If nothing else, it did the whole "maintain and improve your fortress" deal better than Inquisition did, and the companions were all very awesome. I'd love to see the four remaining Awakening Wardens in the future somehow.

But I cannot see either Merrill or Velanna standing with Solas. With the latter, even if she wanted to - and even if she gets to the point in her character development when she isn't a racist fighting a one person race war - I don't think she'd actually align with what Solas wants for the world or elves, if she'd even believe him. And it's silly to think Merrill would want to sign on to Solas's plan to genocide most of Thedas.

Agreed. Merrill's the girl who, after all, can take a human lover, will protest Hawke selling Fenris back into slavery, and despite being a blood mage, has never once used either someone else's blood to get what she wants. There's no conceivable way she'd sign up for Solas' little omnicidial hissy-fit.

Yeah, Solas must be allergic to badass or something :)

Fenris would sooner run for office in the magisterium than join Solas plan to let demons, spirits and more magic into the world.

Velanna, dunno with her or the elven wardens, at the end of Inquisition the warden command structure seems pretty damaged, if not completly destroyed. With the wardens either getting exiled from the south of Thedas followed by a warden civil war in Weisshaupt or the southern wardens splitting from the northern wardens.... followed by civil war in Weisshaupt. It seems that any elven warden could join up with Solas if they wanted to, although like it is said in DAO you can't run from the blight (not counting Fiona) in the end, either you find it or it finds you.

Zevran is too antivan for team Solas.

Merril, hard to say. In my mind it might depend on whether Hawke was a friend or rival to Merril. Although I am leaning towards her not joining Solas at all.

It would be funny to see Anders reaction to Solas plans...... hehe. I hope they bring him back for the next game just for that.

Anders is dead.

No.... Not in my Canon (or more I killed him canonly in DA2 but forgot to change the keep to say he's dead, it was my mistake, not my Keeps, I think it was the ruins of a once Anders is alive world... But yeah, my Hawke did kill him, i was just forgot to change it)

What's the difference if he is still alive? I've never had a still-breathing Anders playthrough and never created such a world state in the keep.

It was me putting him as alive in the Keep once, and foretting to change it once I put the world into my game. It sucked. So he's alive in mine on accident.

Aye, I get that. But is there any difference in game if Anders is still alive? Like Fiona bragging about it or you getting to punch Hawke in the face for letting him go?

Nothing, that I know of. Except people talk about him in the past tense I'm assuming. I've never had a world-state in which he was not  breathing so.

Seriously doubt it's all elves, even most elves. The idea of returning to something better is only going to appeal to the disenfranchised and uninformed which... is actually a lot of elves. Nevermind. Feel even better about putting Briala in power now though.

Varric talks about him going back to the Circle of Magi, but everyone there seems to blame him for their wandering lifestyle, so he leaves. I'm not sure where he goes. But that's pretty much it! I guess.

Wow, that's something, because I'm pretty sure even DA:A Anders would have killed DA2 Anders if given the chance.

Probably. But who really cares about that guy anyway? Besides killing him would've given Sebastian his way and I made a vow on the lives of my unborn children to never give Sebastian anything he wants ever.

What's so bad about Sebastian he seemed to be a rather decent or normal person from what I've seen second hand? I didn't get him since I refused to pre-order the game on account of human-only.

Between Anders and Sebastian, I think they are just as bad. Anders was a butt, and my Canon-Yay!All for Mage freedom! Rivalmanced Isabela Male Scarscatic Hawke thought so, he thought Sebastian was a uptight, boring religious guy, while Anders used him. So he chose to kill Anders for that insult.
