Wow, that's something, because I'm pretty sure even DA:A Anders would have killed DA2 Anders if given the chance.

I don't discard my friends so easily.

I have to say though it was a tough choice between Anders and Sebastian. In the end I settled for one being estranged than the other dead.

I really wanna know Morrigan's thoughts on the issue, especially if she's bound to the will of.. Mytholas? Solythal?

Her whole schtick in DAI is that she doesn't want the world to be mundane, that ancient magics are worth discovering for the sake of discovery alone. I hate to say it, but this seems... right up her alley.

What's so bad about Sebastian he seemed to be a rather decent or normal person from what I've seen second hand? I didn't get him since I refused to pre-order the game on account of human-only.

Sebastian is a hypocritical, self-righteous, indecisive, entitled, oleaginous ******. Not even Varric likes him. And Varric likes everyone. He invades Kirkwall if you don't kill Anders like a sulky child. Which supposedly goes against his entire life philosophy but yeah, aforementioned self-righteousness allows him to bypass guilt and/or cognitive dissonance. Man makes my skin itch.

He also never realized I didn't like him. And I tried reeeaaallly hard to make him realize I don't like him. That bothers me more than it probably should.

Dalish HOF says: why not tear the veil down?

hehe, Pity Bioware canon world state has the Dalish Warden as a sacrificial one. Dead. Because the idea would be interesting.

That part actually.... seems rather reasonable. Given sparring Anders essentially makes Kirkwall appear to be a terrorist coddler/apologist.

Not... really? How does an entire city get blamed for the decision he saw Hawke make right in front of him?

Especially considering the city just payed a hefty price because of the terrorist's actions as well. Like seriously.

Ummm... I always kill Anders... It's reasonable, considering Anders actions injuired people, as well as causing massive damage on the city. I don't blaim Sebastion, but he should've know Anders wasn't there, so his actions were needless, out of revenge. Making him no better than Anders himself, considering Sebastion kills people to annul the city.

You and I are the same page here. I'm rather neutral about the whole invasion thing (Ugh, I wish Anders in DA2 didn't exist, I wish he went back to the Circle as a teacher, then returned back to GW as his new home. It was such a good ending for him, I was sad it was screwed up with. Sebesation was also utterly unnessary, he was like a wanna-be Alistair that failed miserably. And I love Alistair! He's my charming prince with shining armor coming to save my Cousland from despair!)

Yep, I really couldn't see my Dalish warden sacrificing herself for the shems though.

Lol have you met those 3 elves

Fumny out of them all being Fenris, he'd give Solas a lyrium powered fist through his chest before running off to join him

Sebastian is Thedas' Ned Flanders: he's a decent & nice guy, but he just can't stop quoting his BibleChant and that annoys many.

If Hawke was still in Kirkwall it might be reasonable. Not sure what the point of attacking a place just because the guy you don't like lived there for a bit.

I felt the opposite way - I wasn't a big fan of Amaranthine Anders, but I liked Kirkwall Anders. Helping people in his clinic, caring about other mages in the Circle - I saw how Karl's tranquility and death caused him to go on the road that he did to kill Elthina.

I wasn't a fan of everything he did - I wish he was more tolerant of Merrill having different cultural and religious views, instead of trying to push his Andrastian views on her.

My character spared him. I would hope he was able to come to terms with his symbiosis with Justice in Rivain through aid from the seers.

Fenris vanished a while ago, but his disappearance had to do with maggots and being buried - not Solas.

Oh god you know she'd be the first to join.

Maybe not if she was friended by a human warden?

But yeah there's not a snowball's chance that Fenris would join Solas. He's already got mage against him and there's very few mages Fenris will tolerate.

And he would see someone Solas no better then his former master

The fact is, he wasn't a abomantion in DA:A. And that's all that matters to me, is that he's him, not Justice.

That whole justice thing should've been scrapped and Anders would simply be a man working with his own will. Too often BioWare's antagonistic characters or characters that drive the conflict are bound by some sort of external force that makes them crazy, like the illusive man, Saren etc.. That's why I appreciated Howe and Loghain and the Arishok. For all their silliness, they were at least their own people (though the Arishok is a funny case with the Qun cult and all). And this is why I like Solas as the villain. He's no pawn. He's his own demigod.

I like how Anders preaches about freedom, but approves, supports and is very positive if you put Fenris back in slavery. He's just a hypocritical terrorist, nothing more. Even fricken Merrill is against that choice, and Fenris treated her like garbage.

Merril, hard to say. In my mind it might depend on whether Hawke was a friend or rival to Merril. Although I am leaning towards her not joining Solas at all.

More if she kept the mirror or not.

This was a big reason I liked Calpernia, once she finds out what Coryfish truly has in store for her, she decides to break away right away.

Zevran is with my Surana (who often disappears, but for reasons unrelated to Dread Wolfs).

I like to think Merrill has enough sense and connections with Varric to steer clear.

I have some concerns about Fenris, because on one hand I could see him emphasizing a lot with Solas, they're not too unalike.  But Fenris might not be onboard bringing back a ton of magic and what amounts to super elven magisters.  Then again, I remember what the Pride demon was able to tempt him with...  So I'm not entirely sure with him, which worries me.

Ariane is with Finn, and I'm not worried about her.

Velanna, I could see her jump to join.

Zervan is busy playing chess with Hitler, after he dared to attack my psychotic warden.

Merril who cares ?

Ferril whos that ?

And I dont understand why woulnd any of them join Solas if hes promising to give them ethernal life in world full of magic rather than societ that despises with them. I mean you can ask hobo or terrorist out there why are they killing you, I am sure thers more reson than EEEEEVVVVIIL in it XD

Wasn't there a developers comment that stated that Merril keeping the mirror will have repercussions in the future?  I am quite confident I've seen that somewhere.

Knowing more about Eluvians, it would not be that big of a stretch to imagine Merril getting contacted through it and convinced to follow either Solas, or one of the Evanuris.  Knowing how much she wants to uplift the elves and restore their old glory, I would really see her falling for it fairly easily.  Considering she was willing to betray Hawke in act 2 on a simple promise from a pride demon, I can see her going quite a bit father for someone who can convince her they are an elven god.
