He said that the weapon is an entirely different weapon type that doesn't exist in SP or MP, there is also a weapon challenge for it that was taken down.
It seriously wouldn't surprise me if it was a spear that deflects everything... Now that I've seen the Qunari do the same...

Well. That's a dumb reason not to include a weapon if I've ever heard one.
If this is the "superweapon", is anyone else disappointed? The last thing you should make it is a sword. Only 2 classes can even use it. If you had to choose, a staff would have been better.
If you think about it, what are the chances that there is a random, unused, never heard of, level 27 crafted (hint, hint) weapon that has a 100% crit. dmg. bonus (you only find this stuff in mp) that is only currently accessible via the item editor? The item wasn't created for no reason.
You can choose to ignore it but I'm willing to bet a ME:A copy that this is it.
I think it is a place marker for the actual weapon. Why wouldn't he reveal it if he knew it was going to be data-mined.

I agree about spear with reflect may be for everyone - because there were new weapon CHALLENDGE after its disappear.

Is the challenge everyone talking about the one that showed up around the darkspawn time? Because that said legendary weapons if anyone missed out on seeing that.

And btw. The reason I'm doing this is because it's no fun to spend 2000hrs acquiring all the other weapons through RNG then grinding the gold required for the item, only to find out that it's a ****-tier weapon and that you've wasted your time doing it.

He probably didn't expect players to data-mine. It cannot be a decoy because the information for the weapon needs to be on the client's computer, and this applies for all existing weapons in the game. It is a completely unique weapon given its magical properties. Everything fits.

I really appreciate your effort! Thank you Wavebend! I mean, the sword would be slightly more interesting if that magical projectiles proc every single hit and comes with different elements each time... But oh well...

I had a backup folder of the Update folder for Patch 9. I repeated the text dump process for the weapons, specifically for Patch 9, then used Grep to sort out the lists and compare the weapons before and after Patch 10. This is the output:

Yesterday I thought the weapon could've been the MP variant of the Blade of Tidarion, but the comments made by Luke debunked that idea.
It is confirmed because of logical deduction. The item must exist in the game files as a weapon and must be exclusive to Patch 10. By comparing the weapons between Patch 9 and Patch 10 via sorting and finding differences (procedurally comparing two lists of 600+ weapons), there is only one undocumented weapon found in the resulting list. And that weapon somehow fits all the criteria.
The evidence is there. Of course, you'll want to ignore it because I'm not an official dev, but it is what it is.
I'm ready to offer you a copy of ME:A if someone proves me wrong.
If it is then i am deeply dissappointed and might stop playing from that...I'll believe it when i see it
