Anyone know if there is a way or a mod that would allow me to change my keybindings so that Use, Take Cover, and Sprint aren't using the same key in Mass Effect 2?  I find it very annoying when I try to sprint around a corner and my character decides to take cover.  Also, would be nice if i didn't have to take cover to jump over cover.  I can see Use and Sprint not being a problem most of the time, but I would reather not have them bound to the same key.  Anyways, I find it annoying when games design there games for console and don't take the PC gamer into account when designing the game for PC, making the game just a copy, paste job.

I'm not sure if there's another way than editing ME2's coalesced file. You'll have to download a ME2 coalesced editor and edit the game's files manually, which can be quite tedious if you're not sure what to do.

There's a guide on reddit which touches this subject, but it's for ME3 (specifically, ME3's mp). ME2 and ME3's coalesced file are comparable to each other, so following this guide might help you with ME2. I couldn't find a good guide on editing ME2's keybinds specifically, but maybe you're more lucky if you google for a while.

You should realise though editing your coalesced file is at your own risk and can screw up the game, so be sure to back up your coalesced file. Personally, I don't mind the "omni-key" and don't think it's worth going through all this trouble, but it's your call.

Key binding, from my experience in Star Trek Online was a huge pain in the butt! You should check around some reddit threads that's where I found a ton of infor about keybinding. Good luck!
