If you had to choose between a really good ME:A MP or ME:A SP, which would you choose?

So far a lot of people here don't really care nor played MP, which is fine by me. I did play MP a lot (about 700 hours I believe) and I loved it.

Still, Mass Effect is and should always be about the story, multiplayer is a plus. I want both SP and MP, but if I had to choose, I will always pick story over MP.

It's always been the story and SP for me.  But I must admit that I enjoyed the MP due to it being coop more than the "us vs. them" like other MPs.  I hope they continue with that type of MP.

MP can go as far as I'm concerned.

Not really a fan of binary choices anymore, I'd Refuse.

SP, of course. That's a no-brainer.

I definitely would go for the MP. I don't have much faith in SP being good, though I might be wrong but if they can build on what they had for ME3 MP and make it even better they would achieve a great thing.

+1

MP was the best part of ME3, i put more hours into that than on SP.

Multiplayer, because if that's good I will play it for several years.  The SP I will play once, and probably never again.

Singleplayer all the way. I wouldn't even be bothered if MP wasn't even in the game or if they made it completely separate from SP.

Both. But honestly with so many creative geniuses shitting the bed with their story decisions I have little faith in a great story. Decent, hopefully but great plots are seemingly no longer a thing. Just dont try to be clever. When you have a great plot that writes itself, remember to Keep It Simple, Stupid. Failing that, I want both but hope for bigger and better things with ME3 Mp as a canvas with which to paint on.

MP had more replay-ability in Mass Effect 3. I would rather a reason to keep coming back to a game than to have a great game I might look at once, enjoy that one time, then wonder to myself why it had a crappy side mode attached to it.

Mass Effect 3's story was good, but it was the gameplay that got me through it. And that gameplay shined in the multiplayer, bugs aside.

Mass Effect 3 (the whole retarded plot, not just the endings) ruined the universe for me, so I'll be looking out for the MP and expect nothing but bland mediocrity from the SP. I want to be pleasantly surprised but I don't have much hope for it.

Single player. Multiplayer can be fun, but the single player or story modes in games have (almost) always been more important to me. I see a multiplayer mode as more of an extra.

The MP was a nice change of pace, but Mass Effect has always been a single player game, in my eyes.

This is even a question?   Single-player, of course.   MP was fun for a long weekend once, but honestly, if it was completely missing from ME:A I wouldn't mind a bit.

Definitely SP. I have little to no interest in MP in fact. They are cool but quickly they are left by people. And about that, I feel like ME3  was a big mistake. MP should never impact on SP or reciprocally.

Why can't we have both? You would think since the game has MP & SP it should do both well.

I hope anyone who would choose a Bioware game's single player be second best to its multiplayer has absolutely nothing to do with the development of the next Mass Effect. Simple as that.

MP can go to hell for all I care.

I used to say the same, but recently I started playing ME3 with two family members. It's loads of fun.

And I think it's safe to say that I hate online games, having never played an MMO for more than 20 minutes but ME is just great.

I may change my tune again depending on the story, but I can't see it repeating anything close to the effect of the original trilogy. I'm still interested but not nearly as much, so the multi-player portion is where the staying power ought to come from.

Single player.

You can somewhat improve multiplayer with friends anyway (like DAI).

Dunno, I would really love a good story in a game but I think the pacing is going to be off in ME:A. Emphasizing exploration and a huge world is not something I want to hear, even if the story is good the downtime is likely to make it annoying. And I didn't really want to leave the milky way for Andromeda either for that matter. Meanwhile I spent over 1000 hours playing ME3 MPer and loved it. So I think the MPer has a much better chance of being amazing.

You come to a Bioware site to ask...this question?

You must be really bored.

Indeed. I definitely hope they improve it, but it should stay as coop. It's much more fun that way simply because there're already too many damn pvp MPs out there.

Both were good as far as Mass Effect 3 is concerned and, in truth, it's not a situation where we'll get one or the other for Andromeda.  That being said, the people who hate multiplayer in games are sure to be unsatisfied with it regardless, and those who are still whining about the ending of ME3 will likely never be happy with any aspect of single player.  Keeping an open mind seemed to disappear with the rise of the internet.
