Hardly. I am most likely older than you BUT ME3 was a catastrophe, at least SP was and to many MP was the only redeeming feature, hence the question.
I used to say the same, but recently I started playing ME3 with two family members. It's loads of fun.
And I think it's safe to say that I hate online games, having never played an MMO for more than 20 minutes but ME is just great.
I may change my tune again depending on the story, but I can't see it repeating anything close to the effect of the original trilogy. I'm still interested but not nearly as much, so the multi-player portion is where the staying power ought to come from.
I have replayed all 3 ME and DA games over 25 each (on Xbox 360, PS3, and Xbox One) and I have so much more fun and have gotten replay value out of the SP than any boring horde MP match in ME3 and DA:I had to offer.
SP of course. I don't play MP.

That's my number one reason why I like Bioware games. Replay value.

It really wasn't. The endings maybe, but the rest of it was well received and enjoyed. Plus, I think this topic mostly disproves the 'hardly' assumption. >_>
So the solution is to not try to salvage it and just focus on being a MP game ala COD?Hardly. I am most likely older than you BUT ME3 was a catastrophe, at least SP was and to many MP was the only redeeming feature, hence the question.

I repeat, stupidest question ever. Where is the dislike button????

it's people like you who ruin games. if you want COD or BF, go play those.
Asynchronous interaction like this is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike dealing with people. Then why do you post 4083 times on a public forum?
Because dealing with people is unfun. And because MP has gameplay requirements (like being in real-time) which I think ruin the game.
You basically nailed why I don't like MP....the whole dealing with people.....We deal our entire life with people, I go to work I deal with my collegues, I go to the pub I deal with my friends, I sit on my sofa in my apartment I have to deal with my gf daily bs stories........people people people.....
Can I have a moment for myself when I game? Playing a BW game like reading a good adventure book that take you and you only away from the daily chore and make you forget about everyone and everything? Try reading a book with someone sit next to you commenting on every page you read and tell me if that is fun.

A fun thing to do with a person might be sitting in the same room, each silently reading your own book. You basically nailed why I don't like MP....the whole dealing with people.....We deal our entire life with people, I go to work I deal with my collegues, I go to the pub I deal with my friends, I sit on my sofa in my apartment I have to deal with my gf daily bs stories........people people people.....

nice little attempt at trolling though 2/10
so says the one with a first-class jerk in his avatar............you'll need to get up much earlier in the morning if you wanna flamebait me, sister.
Loved the Multi player (over 3000hrs) for what it was, a chance to play with other players, great fun and had/played with some really nice people.., but I do like my single player.( Playing through again at the moment to get my insanity badge).
Hard choice, but I think single player by a short hop.
Cheers
I love a good SP story, and I think I can safely say that most, if not all, of the fans of BioWare games have become as such by being proponents of good narrative. That being said, I do love a co-operative experience and so MP holds a special place in my heart; this being due in large part by having two other brothers as into gaming as much as me growing up.
There are many reasons for liking both the SP and MP, and I do hope that both aspects of the new game are stellar experiences, but I will touch on one thing that is a major point of contention for me. It's the other or 'alien' element to the setting, or rather the disturbing lack of it as the Mass Effect series has moved on. Being a game written and designed by humans for humans I can understand the humanity-centric nature of the games, but I don't think anyone can look at ME 1 compared to ME 3 and say that the third title was anywhere as nuanced. The aliens were distinctly 'alien' in the first game, with species like the Rachni, Elcor, Hanar and Geth being prime examples of other races that didn't immediately conform to our culture or perceptions. Flash forward to ME 3 and all of that unique spark is gone, the 'alien' aliens are subjected to one of three fates, either being:
• A glorified background prop, mentioned only in passing and garnering a very brief cameo (Rachni).
• Stripped of all of their depth and turned into one dimensional joke races (Hanar, Elcor).
• 'Corrected' to become more human-like, and forgo everything that makes them distinctly 'alien' (Geth).
I'll admit that my opinions don't really conform to the masses here, but I would much rather have another Legion (ME 2 version) character than to have yet another Alistar, Miranda, Dorian, or James. Listening to companions go on about their parental issues, or discuss their personal sexuality is incredibly boring when we are in a science fiction setting. I got into games like this to escape the mundane reality, not to see how many writers hated their fathers, or hear about the latest trends on Tumbler.
So to make a long story short (too late), if the SP is going to be another human focused tale, with virtually all of the 'alien' elements stripped out of it; like how ME 3 and DA:I have been; then I will say give me a better MP. Allow me to skitter across the battlefield as a Rachni Brood Warrior, or lay down withering fire as an Elcor siege breaker, let me 'Armored Core' my Geth character, by swapping out arms and legs to create any variant I want. Give me interchangeable armor pieces, complete with various stats and pros and cons. Etc.
SP. Duh.
I don't want my fun to be dependent on other people. I don't want other people's fun to be dependent on me. And I certainly don't want "Nothing in single-player is hidden behind MP" until suddenly there is.

You can't handle the tasteful thickness of his avatar.
I have still doubt about buyng the next ME because it have MP attached. I hate MP, expecially MP that go to touch SP. If I could, I would buy only the SP and not even install MP.
So, to answer the OP: always, always, SP. I'll never buy a MP game.

I wouldn't worry too much about Andromeda having MP attached, I certainly don't think Bioware let the MP options on Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age Inquisition dampen the single player experience in any way.
SP, 'cause poor internet connection coupled with having to rely on other people's schedules is no fun. But that's just me, personally.

This assumes I even play those games, which I do not. Poorly deduced.
I'd pick the refuse option.
