If you had to choose between a really good ME:A MP or ME:A SP, which would you choose?

Is...this really a serious question?

ME3's MP is for frustrated COD players.

I enjoy both, but if I had to choose, it would be SP.  SP is what brought me to ME to start with.  That said I am looking forward to what BW has planned for MEAMP.

Single player, I don't give a damn about MP if the story is awful (looking at you TPP).

MP because I don't want to witness another ME fail. IMO ME3 MP was the only enjoyable portion that game had to offer. So more of that please. Scrap single player, because story isn't EAware's strong suit.

Single player. I play BW games for their stories and characters. I enjoy the gameplay, of course, but I need it regularly mixed up with a story or something else, otherwise it's just too monotonous and I get bored, quit and don't return for a long time. Plus, I'm not a team player in the slightest. I've tried ME3 multiplayer for a bit and I've always done so alone. It's good to practise my shooting from time to time, I guess, but that's about it for me. I've probably spent like an hour or two in total on multiplayer since I bought the game, while I've spent over two hundred hours with the single player by now and am still going.

I want ME-A SP to succeed, ME3 really deflated me, haven't touched that SP in years. I did play it's mp to death tho, only silver lining.

I play Bioware games mainly for the SP, mp is a fun bonus, played both DA and ME versions a plenty. If pressed I'd vote for a great SP.

Singleplayer. Story, dialogue, even teammate comments are way more important to me than multiplayer.

I repeat, stupidest question ever. Where is the dislike button????

fb-dislike.jpg

it's people like you who ruin games. if you want COD or BF, go play those.

Never playing MP.

Game time is MY time.

Other people need not apply.

The Mass Effect series started as a singleplayer RPG and it should end like one.

Multiplayer for ME3 turned out to be surprisingly fun and something similar in future Mass Effect games would be a great bonus, but MP should never be the entire focus. If Bioware was going to do a multiplayer game they'd be better off creating a new IP.

Bioware is a studio that tells stories, stories that are BEST told in Single player mode. So with a BIOWARE title i want SP to be the priority. For another studio I'd rather have MP be the priority.

Also the Series is primarily SP so I want that to be the priority. Yet with Guildwars I expect Arena to have a Better PvP system than anything else because that is their strong point. Not all games need to be one or the other or both. MP has its place and Sp has its place. They need not be at war with each other.

EA has a policy that they want MP in all their game because they believe it promotes longevity and they can add micro-transactions to mp without too much anger from players. And i feel that they have solved an major issue with this policy, that of the MP taking away from the budget of the Single player game. So they have a SECOND studio do multiply player with its own budget and team. This way MP never has a direct impact on the SP systems or team. it was a wise move on EA's part.

Single Player

Why is this even a question?

Because without ME3MP's runaway success, we would not be discussing ME:A right now in any respect, which makes everyone complaining about how MP destroyed ME rather droll.

because Bioware learnt how to design decent gameplay and levels.

Can we just enjoy both quality SP and MP instead of having to choose one over the other? But hey, let's not be reasonable or anything!

I already play a BioWare multiplayer set in space (read: SWTOR). Don't need another one. Really don't like the ME3 multiplayer, so yeah, Single Player all the way.

I enjoyed ME storyline as much as anyone but the MP gave me much longer term fun.  SP I got 60 hours out it and that's good.  MP I played 1200 hours and I hated the thought of MP in Mass Effect when it was announced.

Given I bought and played DA:I only for MP I would have to say MP.

What I would really like is  Co-Op story mode having intelligent team mates to play through the game would be awesome.  Okay I'm spoiled in that I have friends that I could call on every night to do this (seeing as this what I've done most night for over two years) and some seem to find that scary, but there are a lot that could/would use this mode if it was an option.  Borderlands/2/TPS were very popular and while the story was basic show that it could work alongside a normal story mode.  Not that it is likely to for budgetry reasons.

Indeed. I had dreaded MP when it was first announced and quickly changed my mind with regards to ME though I could not get into DA MP really.

While I would hardly say that things are all fixed it is now far better than when we were playing it at the beginning.  Though the game is entirely reliant on RNG gear acquisition.
