If you could bring the Inquisitor back as PC, how would you do it?

Same, but i can't help but think it would be overly complicated. And, considering Solas is the reason most of us want them back (not limited to romancers BTW) we could end up being 2 people at the exact same time. I just can't see it working well.

I Agree with you I really want to play as the inqusitior again and to me it just seems right in every way instead of a new person. Solas is one of my main reasons, I really would like to see there relationship go further and actually be able to redeem him and I don't think having a new protags would allow that to fully happen. I believe that it's there story and this chapter should be closed by them too.

My sentiments exactly. With that said, i have no doubt they could and (most likely) will make a new PC work somehow.

Yeah I know still would be sad though I would love to play as the Inqusitior one last time I just hope that all the choices we made carry over like redeeming him and all that.

Yeah.. I too suspect they will make a new PC anyway. Hopefully after 3 years I wouldn't care that much anymore.

I'd rather have a new protag, with the Inquisitor serving as a more minor secondary protag. Mostly in scenes that are heavy with dialogue, directing the Inquisition and being the leader, rather than running around the world. They could still have some combat scenes, but just not as much of that. I'd also prefer if the new companions were centred on a new protag, and the Inquisitor keeps a handful of people (like the advisors?) from the previous game at hand. The rest could keep in touch as agents or have cameos.

I agree the inquis should be a secondary protag, assuming a leader type role again as an NPC. If you look at it, DA:I is a cumlination of a bunch of stuff hinted or first examined in the first two games. Its the end of some loosely connected story threads coming to a close. Thus DA 4 should be a soft "reboot". Its more than likely we are heading to Teviniter so things should feel new, like when we first played DA:O.

Plus I would love to see my Inquis in a Nick Fury type role :P "I recognise the Divine has made a decision, but given that it's a stupid-ass decision, I've elected to ignore it."

I like this solution because it preserves what's great about getting to build up a new protagonist while still carrying through the relevance of the Inquisitor's relationship with Solas. If it's only limited scenes, then it shouldn't be too hard on Bioware's voice acting budget. Best of both worlds.

The only way I can see a dual protagonist working is if the new pc is a predetermined character like Hawke. Otherwise your budget for different races and another 4 voice actors would be insane.

This way you would still get race selection with your Inquisitor who is playing in the big leagues and dealing with larger things, and have the new pc (maybe a Tevinter slave?) tell a smaller tighter story that ties into the larger plot at some point.

This might be a nice happy medium between telling a smaller more intimate story and the grand world saving scale that was Inquisition.

That would depend entirely on the extent of the character's appearance. If the Inquisitor was playable only at set points in the plot, say 5-10 conversations directing the fight against Solas, that wouldn't be an astronomical sum.

Just out of curiosity for those who say they don't want the Inquisitor back. Would it be a deal breaker for you if they did, or would you be interested in seeing how they go about it?

I'm most likely not going to care too much by the time the next game comes around.

You wanna know how I'd bring back the Inquisitor as a protagonist?  Model the new game on X-Com with Inky as the commander.   At some point you need to graduate from being the guy who personally goes out on fetchquests for 10 goats.  Get in a final personal battle at the climax.

If they brought them back as the sole protagonist...  I don't really know.  I'm not enthused by the idea, but that's partly because I like the idea of my Inquisitor graduating from the guy who goes in to do everything to an actual administrator wielding a network of agents rather than a sword as their weapon.

In the end it probably wouldn't stop me from buying the game though.

Hmm, okay. I see, same for me but on the opposite team. Thanks for answering

A lyrium ghost that's unable to interact with anything, and can just stand there going "Didn't I sacrifice enough the last game to deserve my retirement".
