seriously the new inquisition multiplayer sucks.

constant crashes....

constant freezes....

fact you need 1 of each class to unlock all the rooms...

and most horrible of all is the itemization and crafting systems.

bloated amount of items you can't get rid of, potentially the packs and drops will never drop anything useful by your class etc...

ME3 got it right.

Dragon Age is still all about that loot, and grinding, and all that.

Mass Effect evolved more out of its routes and went the action route while Dragon Age still clings to its roots in a way that makes Multiplayer not shine the way it could or should.

-------

But neither of them were free from connectivity issues.

I have a feeling they'll be doing a fair amount of ME3 copypasta with the MP for Andromeda, which wouldn't really be a bad thing.

As long as there's nothing as OP as the Phantom and no sync-kills in general because they glitch too often.

You're still going to grind through RNG either way. No matter what it is, it's still going to be a pain in the arse.

My hope is that they put more into the underlying code of the MP in general, as even ME3 MP had some pretty annoying issues at launch and still to this day.

It's just that DA:I was even worse somehow.

We all know the servers of EA suck, and don't expect something good at the launch. Luckily I will first play 3 time through the singeplayer before diving into the multiplayer.

I'm pretty ok with this. Tweak the code to adapt to the new engine, clean out bugs and glitches, make sure there's no conection issues, add a couple new mechanics from SP and you got yourself a deal.

Hopefully we won't get the infamous "error connecting to EA servers" nonsense present during SP.

ME3 rng anyday over DA:I.

in me3 you had guaranteed drops and no crafting.

in DA:I you need to farm mats to get craft crap which you may 1 single time :x

What's worse is when you're on the evacuation wave and you lose connection to the game...

Granted ME3 MP wasn't the greatest, it is still way better than DAI MP. Hopefully they have learned enough from both that the MP in ME:A will improvement over both.

But I would have thought that they had learned enough to not make as many mistakes as they did in DA:I.

I certainly do not like DA:I's MP, but doing a copy-paste of ME3 MP for Andromeda wont go that well either.

They need to improve a lot or the MP will be fun for 2 weeks. All the bugs, terrible mechanics, grinding credit system and all that crap was accepted in ME3 because it was something never done before in the franchise, but if you are going to give me the same crap in Andromeda then you learned nothing.

The horde mode is not that bad, but they need to improve the whole thing in general. Remove crap randomness, add dedicated servers or improve drastically the network code (still, dedicated servers for the love of god), and maybe add one or two more game modes (we don't want to split too much the community), since that horde thingy turns boring rather quickly.

I think post all the expansions the ME3 MP mode was pretty good.

you had variety of objectives and enemies while you could choose from loads of builds and gear.

I feel like the internet has let you down some how.  So to correct this grievous error I shall respond to your post with the timeless statement.  LTP

Honestly though, I'm okay with sync kills as they are only melee.  The phantoms I'm on the fence about.  My issue is more that if you have stasis they are fodder to fall at your feet, if you don't well you damn well better LTP at a much higher skill level than I am at.  The actual boss mobs are far easier than these fools.

I played more ME3MP than any other game I've ever played before by about 500+ hours and with DAIMP I don't think I played 5 hours. If ME:AMP is molded from DAIMP I'll be enraged so emphatically that I might go super nova and take out the solar system.

Eh, I don't think they should just keep the arena style horde mode stuff. Frankly, I thought that got old kind of quickly. It came to the point where I only dedicated any time to just one or two characters on a couple of maps, like my favored krogan on Tuchanka. But I think they really need to expand it and make it feel like you're on an actual mission, not doing random crap on the field like carrying packs and deactivating weird devices.

Things DAI MP did wrong that ME:A MP better not do:

Everything is disposable so all items are replaceable trash

Health fountains encourage rushing, map design encourages rushing

NO. why? so we can have those chumpstains focusing on stupid MP fixes and completely ignoring all the SP bugs 2 years later? like getting stuck on the Normandy bridge, and the Indoctrinated Hanar quest, and the Leviathan ladder, and the hilariously dodgy Omega cutscene glitches & glitchy bypass animation, and the audio cutting off at the end of lines.......? shall I go on?

I doubt one has much to do with the other.
