To be honest, I rather agree overall, for much the same reasons I agree with Refusal being canon - though purely from an ME:A perspective, a timeline in which Shep died earlier would be even better.
Of course, of all the suggestions you have for this....

There are many reasons to leave even after the Reaper War. The only reason that gets removed is "escape from the Reapers".
