I'd just like to say I thought this was a fantastic piece of DLC, in my opinion it's the best bit of DLC they've produced since Origins. I felt very connected to the characters and cared about the outcome. Despite everything that's gone on and his deceit, I can't help but feel sorry for Solas/Fen'Harel all he tried to do was free his people who were enslaved and abused, he led them to freedom and was remembered as the villain when he was the hero. He's seen what the elves have become and now I know why he spent so much time in the Fade, he wanted to be with his old world. I want to redeem him badly, but it appears that given the small epilogue most of the elves will follow Solas. It's also interesting to think that Elves had no gods at all, just powerful mages. I'm really excited for the next step in the Dragon Age Series, this bit of DLC has me really excited.

The music added to the last scene really well, I felt really upset for Solas. In order to save his people, he had to sacrifice elven culture, society- almost all of their aspects. I think we can agree that this takes a true hero, I'm going to really struggle to oppose him in the next game especially when he seems to be so righteous and he feels guilt for what he must do to the other races of Thedas. He's turning out to be a very well written character. I believe the next game will take us to the Tevinter Imperium and the Northern Regions of Thedas, the game might be far away but the narrative will be excellent. Is anyone else in a position where they don't feel right killing Solas? I understand where he, Fen'Harel is coming from- he tried to do the right thing and doomed his people in the long wrong, and what he said is true to the Inquisitor: "Wouldn't you do anything to save your people?" The Elves are dying out and have been for a long time in Thedas. Solas/Fen'Harel is just trying to do good by his people and I really can't find myself to oppose that...all the feels at the end of this DLC, good job Bioware! Do any of you have the same feelings as me in regards to Fen'Harel?

Also what's the name of the soundtrack that plays during the meeting with Solas?

Oh the soundtrack playing when you find all the stone Qunari and meet Solas? It's called "The Dread Wolf" :D

I feel bad for him but it doesn't excuse what he's planning to do. Whatever his intentions, it's genocide and therefore wrong. I think we will be forced to kill him or if we change his mind he'll end up sacrificing himself to solve the problem. I'm pretty sure he will end up dead no matter what. (because Bioware feeds on our tears)

I kind of hate him now. It's hard to reconcile someone who fought for so much good with someone who is fighting for so much bad.

And he won't give up. When you ask him at sky hold about Cory he basically tells you his own plot, and states that Cory will never give up on his dream no matter what. He says this because he knows it to be true of himself also. Corypheus and Solas are the same story, almost exactly

Oh, I'm REALLY angry with him now, and I fully intend on kicking his wolf a$$ in the next game if we get that opportunity. It's just sad that he's becoming the very thing he hates.

He is also very aware that he has become our enemy now. "Wouldn't you do anything to save your people?" He knows we will do the same. It boils down to it's them or us. Our PC will probably be forced to make some very hard decisions in the next game in order to stop him. It's scary. We could end up having to be the bad guy in order to save everyone as well. Maybe not but Bioware can be cruel.

I am looking forward to the idea that the next game will take place in tevinter both because of the connections to the ancient elves and that we might learn something of preandrestian maker worship. it was the ancient Neromenian tribes that brought maker worship to Thadas out of the north before they started worshiping the old gods and even then he was stil ankoweleged by the Tevinter with a festival and as the creator of the world. I think it would be very interesting to see what pre-andrestian maker lore and worship was like bonus if there are remiments of the preandrestatian worshipers still around in remote corners of the imperium you can encounter.

As for Solas himself I can understand his motivations but that makes me more determined to either stop him or find a better way. Most of the worlds population, men, dwarves, Kesseth, Qunari and modern elves dont deserve to die so the remaining ancient elves both in sleeping and in hiding in the remote parts of the world can have their world back assuming what Solas does dosen't repeat the bad future Corpyheous created or worse.

Also I am hopeful of a Tevinter Magister player character to oppose solas next time simply because of the symbolism.

Yes, playing in a location like Tevinter opens up a lot of possibilities. There are still a lot of areas on the Thedas map that have been barely mentioned. There are others that have been hinted at as being important in some way. I'd really like to find the lost city of Barindur, The Silent Plains, or that little city on the map named ...Solas. How did it get that name? I have so many questions. Oh I forgot, Weisshaupt is kinda out that way as well.

But he's not saving his people - that's the tragedy of it all. He tried to save them from the tyrant gods ruling over them, and he shattered and broke everything that made them what they were - their magic, their society, their immortality. Solas, in trying to save the elves, effectively exterminated them. Now - and in part to deal with his own guilt, as his banter with Cole indicates - he wants to try and re-create that world.

That's the difference. That's why Solas has to lie to himself - first that the world didn't have "people" in it, and next that the magnitude of his sin is reduced by the fact he has taken steps to end chaos and suffering prior to his great transformation ™.

Also. Solas mentions that the Elven Pantheon of Gods aren't really Gods, so could it be true that like him they were just immortal and extremely powerful. Fen'Harel hasn't possessed Solas, Solas -is- Fen'Harel. He even said, first he was Solas and then he became Fen'Harel because it made his enemies fear him and his people find hope in hope. So that leads me to question, are any of the Dragon Age Gods real?

Additionally, the Dalish Facial Markings- are they a sign of slavery to them Forgotten Ones?
