EDIT:  I am just gonna use this thread to post my videos on that I feel are worth watching.  Feel free to totally ignore it!  I don't want to clutter up multiple threads with my silly videos.  Not really sure how to change the title so that will have to stay.

 

I'm not sure if there is already a thread for stuff like this, so I apologize in advance.  Every once in a while, a cool game happens, and I recently got a recording device so now I can capture these moments!  Sorry about the bad quality, I am still trying to figure everything out.  I'm kind of a tech noob, it's a miracle I got the thing hooked up and working properly in the first place.

 

Anyways, this was a game from last night with a couple buddies and a random guy.  KROGAN RAGE!!!

Depending on your recording device, you may have to plug your mic into the mic input on the device itself. For your teammates' voices to come through, you'll have to have their voice come through the speakers rather than your headset. 

 

This is based on using a Hauppauge HD PVR Rocket, so if you're using something different you may have to do something else to get the voices.

Yeah there's no way I'm going to have their voices coming out my TV as I am scrub-tier and use the TV sound for my game (aka I use the $20 xbox headset).  I can't deal with the echo, but you are right, that's how I would have to do it.  I got an Elgato though but I think it's the same.

It all depends on what kind of capture device you have. Recording live commentary and your party chat simultaneously can be tricky because there's settings you'll have to enable in the xbox audio menu as well as your capturing device software.. It really just depends on your device.

 

I personally used a gaming pc motherboard CC to record. I always had the capture software on my computer monitor next to me ready to record at any given moment..

 

Edit* Every capture card has their own unique settings so you'll have to play around with them until you get it right with some practice footage. Youtube tutorial vids on your specific capture card and some trial and error might be the best thing to do imo...

Sweet match you guys really tore it up!

 

It's awesome when randoms play along be it themed matches or even something as simple as taking disruptors off when there are biotics in the match...many do not

 

 

And did I see that right? That ark guy used a cheese reegar AND fire nades and didn't even topscore?!

 

I guess he didn't go down either, but still, what a scrub.

Shyeah, 1 maybe.

The real one would've used at least 4 - probably 5 - on wave 1 and either saved the last one for extraction or accidently hit it whilst trying to use/hide his launcher

Sucks how Swan Killer got disconnected..looks like it happened right as he was casting a sphere....I am barely in the kill feed...cuz my vanilla AsariDept was so busy detonating all of your guyz primers..there were so many glowing blue things for me to choose from..Did you see that one nemesis in wave 8 got hit with 2 dark channels & Reave all at once?  Wave 7 was the most booms i think the entire game...we need to do that game again

 

edit: LOL at wave 10 a Phantom tried to sync me but I popped an ops pack : Kill Denied.

I keep trying to upload the other two and it gives me an error "unable to write the data to the transport co.." and it's cut off I can't read the rest.  3 times now, and once it "timed out".  I haven't had any other problems uploading I'm not sure what the deal is.

I was so pissed (as can be seen my message for you in the video), that ****** EA threw me out of the game... 

Great game regardless, and 2Fase, man, you talk a lot, but I almost like you now, you're a good player and you're funny when you're sober.

 

@justinman114: I can't wait for our Condor/Collector gameplay, my BroDept killed it, even though I went through all my ammo packs the first 5 waves.

Larry David rocked his Prothy the Prothean during one of our Plat matches last night too....kickin' some serious arse.  In fact I recall during Wave 11 that the PUG, Nat, and I were holding down separate choke points in the 'lower' portion of FB White...while most of the spawning hoard were cramming themselves down Swan Killer's throat -- in the 'upper' portion.  He was basically holding them off single handedly like a boss.  I got to watch his character's silhouette light up the killfeed in a nice quiet solitude.  I needed that time to contemplate how I could screw us out of Full Extraction with 1 sec to spare during the following Jade match (I nailed it).
