Enemy AI seems fine, but party AI is lackluster.

In particular i have noted the following :

-Party members refusing to take cover, they seem to love standing out in the open and getting torn to bits. When they DO use cover they wont duck back behind cover when they see an incoming projectile(theres a on foot fight against a geth armature, you can take cover behind a crate and kill it easily, but your party members will pop out, keep shooting, and then take a plasma bolt in the face). Ever tried opening a door into a room filled with hostiles? You open the door, and your party members stand in the doorway getting shot, instead of taking cover by the side of it....

-Party members refusing to move or attack. You give them the order, and then they just stand there. In particular the attack order either results in them insisting that target is out of LOS(and they WONT move into LOS to attack), or they rush into pointblank range to attack(this works very badly against husks). There doesnt seem to be some "middle ground" where they will stay at optimum range and keep shooting. Everytime i use the attack order against husks, my brilliant party members will immediately run full tilt towards them....

-When an enemy is at pointblank range, party members with assault rifles(Even master spectre ones) fire a few rounds, and then stop firing completely. Instead of firing a few more rounds, they instead prefer to stand, and take damage from the enemy. Complete wastage of 40+ shots before overheating weapons. It looks incredibly retarded when two of your party members are there, staring down an enemy, AND THEY JUST WILL NOT SHOOT HIM.

-Party members constantly trying to shoot through walls and celings, instead of moving into LOS to attack. They will just stand there shooting at the wall constantly....

Seriously, why is the party AI so bad? Shootouts against enemies generally result in them rushing towards you, and then circle strafing you as your party members fire a couple of rounds and then STAREEEEEEEEE at them. It just looks ridiculous.

I have the same problems with Glitch Effect. In addition, sometimes squad mates get "stuck" behind a NPC or a crate and won't follow Shepard. It is what it is.

Hey, at least your game runs without crashing every hour or so, for no discernible reason other than to ****** me off.

You can set your squad to actively engage enemys on site.I think its in the options/game screen.you can order your squad to a particular location and they will fight from there untill recalled.shooting uselessly at walls,is unfortunatly something we all have to live with in me1.

That has nothing to do with it. It's simply bad AI. Like I said, they get stuck behind crates and NPCs. Even when I direct them forward they don't listen. For me this is most prominent in the Wards at the Citadel near the Med Clinic and on Noveria trying to get at least one of my team to enter the room with the cure guarded by the turian.
