The golden halla is actually really quick once you know what to do. On the horse I can complete it in just a couple of minutes. My first go, it was like herding cats with a vacuum cleaner.

You know... I never once considered doing that on a horse. I feel really, really stupid now.

Shards and mosaic usually get totally ignored.
As does the Spoils of Desecration and in later playthroughs, the entire Hissing Wastes.

Done multiple playthroughs, never completed the mosaic pieces or the astrarium puzzles. Can't skip the shards though even if its tedious busy work. I like the loot in those rooms too much.

Spoils of Desecration (all of my characters so far have been Elves)

And that random Requisition that needs Halla leather. Because Elves.

(Seriously, in over 350 hours of DAI, I have only killed ONE Halla. And not even Arianne or Lyna. I think it was Sera or Dorian...)

Just take Sera. Between Stealth and Flask of Lightning, you can herd the Halla rather easily.

Take heart! It wasn't your clan.

The golden halla has never taken me longer than two minutes and I don't even use a horse. You're herding so go around it not after it. It might've helped that I used fade step.

I killed the mama bear and 3 cubs once but won't do it again. Any other bears are ok to kill (except Storvacker :wub:).

I don't usually kill the dragons that aren't quest-related or bothering people.

I also tend to avoid the horse race. I did it once just to do it but it's not something I have to do (unlike collecting every friggin' shard or mosaic piece in every single game <_<). Yes, I need help.

I hate doing the Iron Bull's side ques of Demands of the Qunt. The odds are stacked against us either way.

For me, I thinks it's 'The Spoils of Desecration', especially if I'm playing elf inquisitor.

It just felt wrong..

Yeah, this one.  I've come up with reasons (it's infested with demons, must clean)...but I never feel good about it, and I always wait until post-game.  (Don't watch me do this, Solas.)

I also get a little iffy about wiping out every known dragon in Thedas.  And going into that wyvern den and finding it with a bunch of baby wyverns in the pool made me nope in the other direction.  (It's their little home!  I can't!)    I'll eventually get to the dragons for Bull and loot, but it's easier to turn my back on killing the wyvern family. :lol:

"Where the Druffalo Roam" - It's a stupid quest

That haunted mansion in the Emerald Graves - It's pointless

I wish the shards synced up, that quest is really annoying

Last Resort of Good Men - The bad writing burns

I'm surprised so many hate the Chateau d'Onterre quest. I thought it was rather tragic, and I wonder if the Templar who sold that box had planned that all along.

I'm thinking about skipping Hissing wastes this playthrough. It's just so....vast.....and...nothing...............And I've been wandering about 2 hours but I didn't get a single banter..I only went there to get some Bull/Varric/Dorian banter...Why are you doing this to me BW....

Nope.

But! There's a quest that I ALWAYS do. No matter what and as soon as possible. Just at the moment when got in Hiterlands I completly ignore mother Giselle and I go to rescue Druffy. This poor missing druffalo breaks my heart.

No kidding or trolling. I love animals. ^^

aand I am always escorting Golden halla to dalish clan.

I never do the requisitions. The most pointless waste of resources in the game.

I've done pretty much all the quests in one playthrough or another. I'm currently doing a total completion one and will probably never be this thorough again.

I was appalled when I found out I had to desecrate the tomb to get a mosaic piece. I've never done it and was worried I wouldn't be able to get the Dalish agent because of it (still got him, thankfully).

I used cheat engine to get the shards because I lost patience finding them all but wanted the quests for the doors off my journal.

All the missions where you find a map and have to dig up a treasure drive me nuts.

Finding the chanter/spirit in the Hissing Wastes is causing me grief right now. At least that one doesn't show up on the journal.

I didn't even know about the bear in Emerald Graves, I usually clear everything out at once and then never return. This information is going to force me to revisit all the maps to check for quests now...

Any "go fetch or collect" quests that are not closly tied to the story.

But I skip just about any side quest I can. Most are unrelated, irrelevant, or just boring. I do close rifts and establish camps though

What's with the dislike for Exalted Plains? That was one of the more enjoyable areas, in my opinion.

I don't do that one or any find my pet or farm animal quest. The quest I like are the ones that give you approval and agents. The game is huge, and I don't think they really want you to do all the quest.

Shards and gears are the bane of my existence..... <_< I'm sure Bioware got a good laugh out of my pain as a completionist..

(yep, I finally found them all) They are cruel.

I won't do all the quest, but I do the puzzles Astrarium, shards and clue finding quest.

Memories of the Grey always made me annoyed with Blackwall - come on man, you're not even a real warden and you're still  insisting we run around collecting griffon feathers so you can what, sleep with them under your pillow? grr

For the people skipping The Spoils of Desecration because they don't want to offend the Dalish - if you mount your horse and line it up alongside the entrance, then dismount, you can dismount into the tomb itself without vandalising any graves ;) there's some nice loot in there as well if I remember correctly

I skipped:

  • Hunger Pangs;
  • The Spoils of Desecration;
  • A Bear to Cross;
  • most of dragon hunting quests (killed only Northen Hunter, Kaltenzahn and Hakkon's avatar).
