Anyone else with me? Cause damn, I couldn't care less about ME, but I want to know what happens next after Trespasser.... especially cause you know... Tevinter the most awesome place in Thedas.

Teams scheams, DA4 hasn't been officially green-lit yet and the ME boards were moved above the DA ones. This needs to be remedied post-haste

Never played it, but you know DA should be the priority. Shepard's story is good and done now and they had to move the setting to an entirely different galaxy to even have a story [which will likely be completely disconnected from the previous games], where as DA's story is still unfolding.

They had better get cracking on DA4!!!

 

In the meantime though, I hope they give us something.. new novels, another World of Thedas, etc.

It won't happen, but I agree, OP. I used to be a fan of both franchises, even though I've always preferred DA, but ME3 destroyed my regard for ME. Now I couldn't care less about it. If it ended now, I would say "Good, now they can use the resources for something else".

I think I'll play ME:A just so that I'll have something to do whilst I'm awaiting the next DA game, and I kinda didn't like playing a human the entire time (Kadan romancer here... Gosh, i have a thing for men with awkwardness! I hated Ashley so much, I left her to rot when I could. No regrets here!)

Ultimately it's going to be the release window that determines when what gets released when. The EA/Bioware plan seems to be one release per year, so 2018 looks like the next opening for Dragon Age, based on ME:A in 2016 and the new IP in 2017. I can't see Bioware doing releases of both of their core franchises in the same year and risk cannibalising their own audience.

As for ME:A itself, I don't really care. I'll probably play it, but I wouldn't call myself an ME fan.

No. There are completely different teams working on the game too so them working on a ME game doesn't mean they are not working on DA as well.

Dawn Will Come (though not Mother Giselle's version) sends chills down my spine.

 

It's a good show, if you're into that stuff.

My tastes tend to flow back and forth between fantasy and sci-fi genres, so I am eagerly awaiting the next ME game myself.    Besides, its not like one actually affects the other.    If anything the other can take elements that work well from the other and avoid those elements that are heavily criticized.   

 

I am holding out hope that the ME team took a bit of the DAI PC interface criticism to heart.

I love ME, and look forward to MEA...but I'm now ~really~ interested in a DA4, if Trespasser is any indication of the kind of direction they will go in with gameplay/story.

Yeah agreed, while I do enjoy Mass Effect as a series and am slightly excited to see what Mass Effect Andromeda will entail, I am WAY more into the world of Dragon Age. It never gets old to me to go back and recreate the whole story of the series starting with Origins to DAI, and updating my info on the Keep. I love the series and want nothing but DA to be on Bioware's agenda in the future. I can wait, but not too long! Put Mass Effect on the back burner, more ppl want DA4!!!

It hasn't been Green Lit.because they have yet to present it to EA


And how can u judge a game that you haven't even played?
