And it is not just Solas, Cole as well. That the dwarves were formerly connected to something in the past? Solas speaks of things lost to Varric but Varric just dismisses it all rather pragmatically. I still have not played Descent so I might be missing something Solas may have said but of if anyone knows more, feel free to chime in.

The only thing we know 100% is that the dwarves were cut off from something but we do not know what exactly.

I had questions, but I feel it makes a bit more sense after Trespasser....

My speculation has the Titans being created by the Elvehan and the Dwarves being strongly connected to them as a sorta Mechanic/ Keeper.

Then the Veil was created, which caused them to lose the inherent connection..

or something like that.
