DAI did 8 romances well without them being half-baked. So although 10 is unnecessary lot I doubt even with 10 Bioware would do lame romances. Personally I'm hoping for 6.

No matter what people are going to complain.

If there are 10 romances of varying genders and sexual orientations people not interested in the romance aspect of ME will whine about too much time and effort going into LIs that could of gone into something else. If there are four LIs people will go to war over their sexual orientations and what have you.

 

They have to have two straight LIs and two gay ones to be fair!!

As long as you can actually talk to LI, try to actually build a relationship, not always have convos cut off like it did in the trilogy. It should take more than 2 convos to actually have a possible romance become a LI.

I remember the first time I played a BioWare game, decades ago now, and realized my PC could attempt to "romance" an NPC. "Wow, that's pretty novel and immersive," I thought.
