Hiya,

Not sure where to post this, but this forum seems most logical:

I have a Trials issue with "Trial of the Magician":

In the "In Hushed Whispers" party - Elven Archer, Blackwall,Solas and Dorian
All equipped with items made out of Golden Nug schematics, so they have 200+ armour and 100-200+ DPS'ing gear on a Level 7 build
Via perks, I have 3 potion slots - 8 healing, 5 regenerate and Solas and Dorian carrying Healing Mists
I had Even Ground, Walk Softly, Travel Light, Fairweather Friends and Grizzly set to ON in my first try (nightmare), and only Travel Light in my second try. (hard)
I am logged in when playing.
 

The Origin description for the achievement reads  Travel Light on for hushed whispers, finish the quest.
I have done so, twice in a row, with an hr between trials and the achievement doesn't seem to register
Anyone else have issues with this?

I'm afraid you need to have Travel Light turned on from the moment you first go to Val Royeaux and talk to Fiona. A lot of people are in the same boat as you. BioWare didn't really make it very clear what needs to be done.

I got the achievement while turning Travel Light just before talking to Fiona in Redcliffe so you don't necessarily have to turn it on quite so early but it's better to be safe. Might as well turn it on at the start of the fame because there aren't a lot of supply caches outside of story missions.  

 

If that's not the issue, it might just be Origin acting up. Even logged in it can take up to a few hours for my achievements to pop up. Trial of the Magician popped pretty much immediately for me, but Trial of the Empress only showed up 3 hours later.

Activated just fine for me last night. Wasn't even going for it, just popped up that I did it.

I don't turn off trials all that much....I like them and the difficulty they bring. Only used one potion the entire time

To @Evamitchelle and Johan Wolfgang - Thanks for the heads up  - I had it turned on from the start on the nightmare run, because I was also going for the "get to skyhold before L5" thing, which I got, but The Magician's trial must not have registered or something - and then I had it off and then turned it on again when I redid it, but after going to VR

Might try again later, but not now. Thanks again, tho
