Agreed. I have no problem with Bio introducing people of different backgrounds like that so long as the character is well-written and has his/her reasons for being involved. I don't like fan-service by forcing somthing in that doesn't feel natural (MGS V and Quiet...yes, I mentioned it)Okay, I totally understand now!
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that this is kind of delicate subject matter for a lot of people, as it's obviously a real world problem. People tend to get on the defensive pretty quick and it escalates from there. It also doesn't help that there was a lot of partial quoting going on. The point sort of got buried in there, and no one really knew how to dig it out again.
As far as "natural" vs "blunt" I'm definitely in the same boat. If something feels as if it's coming out of left field it just kind of makes me feel awkward. I absolutely applaud representation, but there are certainly more and less fluid ways to do it. I don't want the fact that it's there to be ignored or unappreciated, but I also don't want it to be thrown at the screen in ways that feel random to me.
Sounds like both sides of this argument just had a general misunderstanding of what was being stated

You know...Quiet's outfit isn't even just skimpy it's dumb.
Why can't the skimpy outfits ever look plausible?
I mean if you're gonna go with sexy it should at least look like something someone would willingly wear outside.

Cole and Sera are both like children, but in very different ways.
I see Sera as more childish than child-like though, in my opinion, she's a bit emotional immature.

No. No she isn't .
Yes. Yes she is.
Folks please. Sera actively chooses not to confront certain issues because it makes her uncomfortable, she has a childish sense of humor and her sense of morality is primarily based on what is wrong/right at this immediate moment. These do not combine to equal child, it combines to form someone clinging to a specific PoV to avoid questions of worth and value and right and wrong. She understands the concepts of romance and sex and her romance is probably one of the few ways you can actually see her evolve as a person throughout the game. And get her to confront issues she'd rather avoid.
Cole is literally a being from another plane whose primary interface with humans have been voyeuristic in nature.

She hates Sera for reasons that have to do about her sexuality, or anyone who isn't straight. I know her opinions, don't bother arguing.

1: I dislike Sara because she's immature ,arrogant ,and freaking annoying. ( much like yourself)
And from what I've seen if you have her as your LI . She is also a bit clingy. It has very little to do with her " sexuality" . So don't pretend to know my opinions child. Okay.

He is fan service for LGBT players but I ended up really liking him and hope he becomes a companion in the next game. He could have been voiced by anyone and I would have still liked him but it does help that he's voiced by Jen Hale (I love Jen's voice acting). Krem gives you great background and a different take on Tevinter society than what Dorian gives you and handles Bull well.

Oh sorry, don't mind me. I'm just amused at the direction this thread has gone in.. Let's summarize.
Part one: Why do people like Krem?
Part two: Thought police, gay agenda.
Part three: 600 pound women with mustaches.
Part four: Quiet's skimpy outfit
Part five: Sera is immature

You're preaching to the choir.
I've journeyed deep into the fade BSN and experienced Origins fanboyism meltdowns and people who believe they are elves in real life. I've watched as people requested sexuality toggles, claimed that Cassandra looks like a man with "scientific proof" and to taste Tali's sweat.

Because a) realism isn't a necessity and
some people's choices in attire do in fact differ greatly from what is socially acceptable or expected. "x fictional outfit isn't something someone would willingly wear outside" isn't a statement you can actually support. "someone" is too vast.

I'm not talking about socially acceptable. I'm talking about **** like boobs being held with ****** strings yet somehow not being effected by gravity. As someone with big breasts that **** is damned uncomfortable. You can have cleavage with goddamn support. Or ugly sumo underwear. Why are you showing them off in that case? It makes the character look dumb instead of sexy. And you can say some people's choice sure. But the stupid outfit isn't uncommon.

I agree. I'm not bothered by skimpy outfits, but some are just silly.
On a side note, i had to laugh. Your picture made me think of Toma saying that.

And? It is uncomfortable to you, so? Even if it is universally uncomfortable in our world, this character might not feel discomfort, realism isn't necessary.
That's a matter of opinion, what is stupid/dumb/sexy/hot/cringeworthy/creepy/engaging/etc depends on personal taste. And even if it looks stupid, there's no reason we shouldn't have characters with stupid choices in clothes.
