To rant about? What the actual ****? So replying to peoples posts directed at ME is ranting? Please explain *that* logic to me

Replying with something logical and consistent is just a reply. Being aggressive, contradictory, unwilling to back up your opinions with actual reason, instantly denying and forgetting things you've said today, yeah that's ranting like a crazy person.

Also point to where I said I didn't want them to mention it? I said them slapping you in the face with it is what I found bad. How many times do I need to tell you that? Is that really so hard to comprehend?

"Why include it beyond simply incuding it? Why not simply not mention it at all, it's obviously a woman doing the VO work. It would have been much better to not mention it at all."-You. Seriously, read your own posts.

What I have problem with: Implementation

What I don't have a problem with: Inclusion.

Do you need me to draw a diagram? Maybe some pie charts for you to grasp it?

Every one of those things you list are based on circumstance. But It's rather obvious you're one of "those" people, so you might find such things important, rather than what a person actually has to *say* and what they *think*. Note: Talking and saying are not the same thing.

I don't think any pie chart on the planet could make a normal person understand your contradictory, unsupported backpedaling. You have a problem with Krem's sexual identity being mentioned at all, what are we supposed to think of that? Not once did you say "I think this could have been written better" or "I think this should have been more subtle" again, read your own posts  I'm one of "those" people that uses reason and logic, backs up my opinions with reasons, and doesn't contradict myself. You're being so dense that I think my brain is about to bleed out my ears. I hope you're simply a very skilled troll but either way I'm done trying to talk to you.

Yeah... Sera is more like a child than Cole is lol.

Cole is more autistic than like a child.

Cole and Sera are both like children, but in very different ways. And I think it's sort of creepy you can romance Sera, to be honest.

Since you obviously only read that other guys half-quotes and misrepresentations, here's what I actually said.

Here is the difference. I never said you should not ACKNOWLEDGE someone for being transgender, which is EXACTLY what you claimed I said. I said you don't need to MENTION it nor explain it unless ASKED. If you see a transgender person, do you go upto them and say "hey, you're a transgender man/woman" for no reason? No, cause that would be idiotic.

Then I said that acceptance means you stop blinking at transgender people. Meaning that when somoenes gender stops being a topic of conversation, then you've actually accepted them for who they are.

In the case with Krem, you can ask "why do you pass as a man?" Which is completely innocent question borne out of sincere confusion, he gets upset and then IB goes into this explanation thing like talking to a child. Then, to top it off, Krem says "maybe the Qun isn't so bad afterall" which is just so blatant that it makes you faceplam. Yeah, religious zealotry and blind obedience isn't so bad as long as you're treated as a man. Ofcourse, you're also treated as a number with no identity, but as long as you can wear pants it's great!

A better way in this particular scenario would been for Krem to simply say "I've always felt like a man" and simply leave it at that. Anyone who didn't grow up in a farm in Alabama knows what's going on coupled with the voice acting.

That is what I take issue with in this case. The IMPLEMENTATION is so crude and blatant that it makes me go "ugh".

He wields a two-handed weapon when the Chargers already have Iron Bull. That's just redundant. Pick up a goddamn shield, Krem.

He sucks with the shield, didnt you see the cut scene with him and Bull  :P

Hey... as long as it's only "sort of" ;)

On the topic of Sera... why does she have a human body when the Inky elf for example is much more lithe? I always found that a bit weird. The only thing elfy about her is her ears.

If you play a fem elf it's *you* who looks like a child when you're in bed with her.

It's probably so she can wear Human-Trained armors, since Sera wants nothing to do with Elf stuff.

So, more "subtle and natural" vs. "blatant and kind of awkward" is the basic point?

It's not so much a "don't mention it EVER" as much as a "I would rather have you not mention it than make it overblown and weird just to prove a point" sort of thing? Not against characters having a discussion provided it doesn't feel forced or out of character?

Solas is kind of the same too, he has bigger body than the male elf. I think they added the "human" body on Sera so we couldn't put her in elfy clothes I think.

At launch she could wear elf-trained but not anymore, I'm sure of it.

Probably.

At least... I seem to remember equipping her with the Dalish Scout armour at some point.

Just because she like pranks and other childish stuff does not mean she can't form a romantic relationship since she has shown to understand this concept very well, and Sera is not as dumb as she looks or acts in fact. Cole on the other hand has no clue how romantic relationships work (before Trespasser which makes sense after he has been with the Inquisition for two years) hence the mind of a hcild comment for Cole. Plus he looks like a corpse anyways.

In all honesty I wish he would have been more involved. Like companion wise, or even Romance wise (that would have been intriguing), I appreciated how easy he was to talk to. For those people that may have questions about what its like to be like him, he was very open and didnt make you feel like a complete dick because you may be ignorant of his situation. A lot of people try very hard to be offended now days <_< , it was (to me) a nice change to speak with some one so laid back, honest and who I could see promoting REAL understanding for those that dont know, and not just : "How could you!" ... Sorry I didnt know  "Thats No Excuse!"

I read on the BioWare blog that this was kinda the point to, which again really made me interested in him. lol Im kinda more interested in him then the other characters in the game, him and Scout Harding of course  :P

Especially after that "lol you can't romance Cole he's like a child" we got pre release. WTF.

Spoiler

Also, Trespasser takes place two years after the defeat of Corypheus, which is quite a lot of time for growth. I don't see anything incongruous with the initial statement. The Cole we knew during the events of DAI, even if you make him more human, was like a child. Even in the Cole thread when people have discussed a possible future relationship (with someone, not the Inquisitor), it's usually spoken of as something in the future after he has grown more as a person.

Agreed, I didn't mind spirit Cole matchmaking since after two years he might have understood the basics of romance and now knows not to just blab about your sexual adventures in banter, but human Cole getting into a romance? Nope. Helping someone get together and getting in a romance yourself are two different can of worms and two years is simply not enough imo for Cole to understand that and he still looks like a bloody corpse. It's just ew..

Just another reason to make him a spirit and to have Krem die, because based ZITHER.

Okay, I totally understand now!

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that this is kind of delicate subject matter for a lot of people, as it's obviously a real world problem. People tend to get on the defensive pretty quick and it escalates from there. It also doesn't help that there was a lot of partial quoting going on. The point sort of got buried in there, and no one really knew how to dig it out again.

As far as "natural" vs "blunt" I'm definitely in the same boat. If something feels as if it's coming out of left field it just kind of makes me feel awkward. I absolutely applaud representation, but there are certainly more and less fluid ways to do it. I don't want the fact that it's there to be ignored or unappreciated, but I also don't want it to be thrown at the screen in ways that feel random to me.

For me it was both a protective/parenting instinct since I admit I considered Cole like my adopted child :P and also the suddenness of it for the player was a factor. The characters get 2 years for a gradual growth and adjustment but the player goes from Cole being an innocent little marshmallow that's blunt and curious like a small child to suddenly being in a romantic relationship and my reaction was " :o   get your claws out of my child you harpy!" lol

It really doesn't make any sense. Though I did lmao when he blurted out his thoughts. Now you know how it feels Cole. Now you know how it feels. And that pathetic way he goes Forget? Bwahahahaha.

I'm not making him a spirit and I'm not having my husbando stab me in the back is no bueno but still wtf.

2 years is not enough time for sexual development from a spirit that doesn't even know the basics of privacy when you first meet him. It's EDI has the hots for Joker all over again but dumber.

If this had just been a childish crush with him lusting after her like a 13 year old I'd get it. But it's supposed to be an actual relationship and that's just no.

Maybe in my solasmancer playthrough. She's gonna end up miserable in the end anyway so might as well drag all the companions down with her.

Honestly, I think I would have felt better knowing Cole was out there making friends/finding a more permanent place for himself in the world than him randomly hooking up with someone.

He could have made a great Jenny.
