There is evidence. it's in da2. The issue is if the other elven gods did it...which I doubt Solas would let happen.
No, there isn't. She's summoned to an altar of Mythal. Nothing indicates she cut her soul in half.

She says herself that the amulet contained a bit of her soul.

She says the amulet was a piece, I believe she even says "a small piece, but enough." It is also said an echo or something of Mythal survived death, and crawled her way to Flemeth. It is also implied that Flemythal shoved a part of herself through the Eluvian at the end of DA:I, because she pushes a blue ball, a la absorbing Kieran's soul, regardless of if the OGB happened or not in that world state.
It is pretty reasonable to assume that Mythal and the Pantheon could survive death via a division of some part of their being. This is hinted to be what Corypheus tried to do, but because of his inability to accept his nature as a Blighted Creature, what he did actually disrupted his ability to survive a mortal blow if the connection he created with his Dragon was disrupted.

No. She says it contains a small piece of her. Like, you know, some hair or something so you can actually summon her.
Oh sure. And at the end I'm guessing she's pushing a fart through the Eluvian?
You're wrong and everyone knows it, except you.

What?
Word for word Flemeth says she put a part of herself in the amulet. Not summoned, a part of herself in the amulet. States it at 1:20 of the video.
She also says "Must I only be in one place? Bodies are such limiting things"

Even more meaning now when she says "the people bend their knee too quickly". Huh... she was also probing to see if Merrill knew she was Mythal.

Yep. I theorized she was Mythal from that scene.

A piece of HERSELF, not a piece of HER SOUL.
A question to which the answer is probably "yes". Bodies are indeed limiting, and yet the ancient elven gods did choose bodies over continuing to exist as spirits. So, as limiting as they might be, that is what they chose to be.
1. It not a body part. It's not a summon being that at that point she can be long dead.
2. She was referring to herself being that she is an elven god.

You know, if you want to throw out the simpler explanation, that's your problem.
Dude, if you don't see you are wrong that your issue. It's not a summon. She says she was in the amulet. A part of her, not a part of her physical body. She even goes on to say she not limited to just one body. Note the fact that by the time you do this the original Flemeith is dead.

I think it was indeed a piece of her soul. There is a chance that the warden killed Flemeth in Origins. And yet, she is brought back through the amulet in Kirkwall a couple years later. The way she talks, it makes it feel like the amulet wouldnt have worked in bringing her to life, if she hadnt died already (back in Wilds in Ferelden). She sounded quite surprised to be "awaken" in DA2, as if she had died, stayed dead for some time and suddenly got pulled back to life.
There is no hard evidence to anything to be fair. But by what is shown, I think its safer to assume she had a part of her soul in the amulet than otherwise.
So you believe it is more likely that someone split their soul in half and managed to get out of that experience just fine and identical to having a whole soul, than that this person faked their own death. She is also batshit insane and we haven't seen anyone be in two places at once. Well, except for Anders.
Which actually brings up the most important point: Bioware wanted to prune the branches and thought they needed to pull something out of their asses to justify Flemeth's survival. They didn't, they never needed to, because there is a perfectly reasonable explanation why she survived: she faked it. It's obvious she faked it, because if we look at the power that Solas has in Trespasser and knowing it came from Mythal makes it very obvious that the Warden never really would have stood a chance.
Seriously, petrifying people just by thinking it. Not even needing to look.
Comparing Mythal and Solas is almost apples and oranges, but you seem to be missing the nuance. Solas hasn't been murdered. What's left of Mythal is still Mythal, but a gravely injured and slowly healing Mythal. You can say "she faked it" all you want, but there's no evidence for that. There IS evidence, however, that she saw the Warden killing her in Flemeth's body as a possibility and as a contingency she took steps to keep herself from being permanently dead. Using her knowledge of ancient magics, she split off a part of herself - you can quibble all day about it being a "soul" or not - but in practice it's a part of Mythal whole enough to keep her Mythal. She has the capability to be in two places at the same time... at the very least. Who's to say it couldn't be more? So, if the Warden kills her, she's in one place (that we know of) and if the Warden doesn't kill her she's in two places at the same time (that we know of). There isn't any evidence for anything else.

You fight her AFTER she has given the amulet to Hawke. Who is to say only a small part of her remained in the hut, and that's why the Flemeth you fought wasn't that strong?
That's right, you DON'T know. You just state things as if from a position of authority.
And there's one last thing you've never addressed, just kept repeating this nonsense and that is: What is she channeling INTO the Eluvian at the end, before Solas arrives? The magical effect is EXACTLY the same as when she removed the Old God soul from Kieran (that should already make it obvious souls are subject to manipulation) yet she does that even if Kieran never existed, meaning no Old God soul.
Someones soul or part of one is going somewhere.
In fact, the more I think about it the more in character her ordeal is with Solas. If she can split herself to keep herself safe, it's something she'd do in the first instance with the Warden. If the Warden has come to kill her, she knows it's because of Morrigan. What better way to throw Morrigan off than to let her think she's dead? So, she's willing to sacrifice a "part" of herself for a goal.
This fits in perfectly with the scene regarding Solas. We see her doing something with the Eluvian, it looks kinda like the process in which she removes the old god spirit from Morrigans son. So, it's very likely it's a piece of her being sent somewhere safe. Then she sacrifices herself for Solas, either to deceive him or to help him out. Or both.
I don't see any other theory making more sense.
Or none if it truly makes sense because Bioware changed their mind 5 times since then and they are making their current ideas work around **** that happened! How about that?!

I'm sorry but how can you say that when you don't know what they planned in the first place?
@Aulis Vaara
I don't really need to argue any more on this with you because everyone else already point out how wrong you are. Sorry, but you're mistaken. That's that.

Just to point out, but you can look up yt vids about it. It's not "kinda like the process when removing the soul from Kieran". It's *exactly* the same graphical effect.

Okay thanks. I'll check into that.
