To be honest, I'll just be ecstatic if we get to use the airlock again and not teleport onto a station.

This. Bring back elevators and elevator conversations, too. I'd rather listen to character banter and news reports than look at loading screens.

I'd like the ship to have an iconic exterior appearance, personally. Just like the Normandy. Maybe present players with the option to augment the ship's interior with new stations or technology that unlock additional benefits for the team. Something like how the flying HQ in Splinter Cell: Blacklist worked, but more in-depth.

Sure,
I think it'd be a nice touch.
I'd just hope that they'd handle the customizations better than they did in DAI with Skyhold.

haha! I recolored my husband's Sheps armor pink when he got up to go to the bathroom during a playthrough. Of course, he didn't know it until he went on his next mission and played through the whole thing in that armor. He was a good sport and thought it was funny though!

And, yes, for customization!

I'm all in on ship customization.  I'd like both utilitarian upgrades that you need to make it through missions with everyone alive and the ship intact and cosmetic upgrades that you can use to show a bit of personality.

And I thought the Trespasser ending was cruel ...... :o :o :o :o Thanks, I know how my nightmare tonight will look like ..... I have to download it. :D

Back to the topic:

Serious: I would LOVE it, to adapt the ship. And yes, call me a "girl", but: I would love to choose my room colors and furniture. :) Puting a Wolverine-Poster over my bed ...

I would love it. I play Mass effect 1 right know and I'm surprised how WONDERFUL the dialogue are.

Definitely. The lack of banter in 2 and 3 were REALLY disappointing. I mean, 2 was built arund the characters, and then they barely interact with one another. And I definitely preferred the elevators to the loading screens - it kept me immersed in the game universe because we were still playing the game, even if we weren't actually doing anything.

Yes! I would love a hot pink protagonist ship flying through space!

Seriously though, I would love to be able to customize at least the players cabin.

I don't know about the pink part, ;) but yes.
I was always disappointed that our artifacts that we found in ME2, displayed in the cabin, didn't transfer to ME3.

The importance and impact of interior, cosmetic customization is largely dependent upon how much of the story is going to take place inside the ship. If the previous games are any indication, it's not going to be a terribly important locale. While pimping out your cabin seems like a fun thing to do, you probably won't be spending much playtime there, realistically, unless something new is in the offing. I don't thing external, cosmetic modification is at all necessary. How useful is a flashy paintjob on a spacecraft? No one will see you in space. (Maybe that, or heat management, should be the goal of your paintjob, rather than cool looks?)

I do think it would be fun if the ship were more of a hub in this game than in past games. We aren't in the mostly friendly confines of Citadel space, anymore. We don't yet know how friendly or safe the various ports will be. It would make a lot of sense for the ship to finally be portrayed as a true home to her crew. We'll see. I'd be happy if they could manage to not put an article in front of the ship's name constantly this time around. A ship has a name like a person, not like a building. It should always have been "Normandy" not "the Normandy" (ugh).

Ship upgrades of different types seem likely. Who knows how important they'll prove to be? They ended up being critically important in ME2, though in a passive, non-interactive way. Also, everything was for the single, suicidal trip through the Omega-4 Relay. Maybe this time around, upgrades can be more immediately and lastingly beneficial?

Ship customization? Sure, but I would want it to have some practical consequences.  Like install a poker table and...you know, play poker! LOL

I'd be more interested in a Mother Base type customization.  Actually customizing a base of operations.

If done like Skyhold It wouldn't be customizable enough.

Ui, this is a good idea. :) I really like it.

But hope they don't make so less possibilitys like in DAI Skyhold. :(

Nay. If it's purely cosmetic, I'd rather they put those resources and efforts into the story and characters instead.

I'd like to customise our cabin, definitely. Something like fish and model ships again, or other collectible things. Maybe some pictures? Plus if we could change the furniture (like in the Citadel dlc, but with some more exciting options).

If we have ME3-style cabin conversations, it would do wonders for setting a lovely, personal atmosphere.

The ship upgrades in ME2 were a bit odd. I can easily see Tali reconfiguring some circuitry to upgrade the shields, Garrus fabricating Thanix Cannons given the right materials - yeah, okay. Refitting the ship with Silaris armor out in the zero gravity vacuum of space? That one always bothered me.

As far as pure cosmetics, I think I'd prefer more clothing, armor, and dare I say it - hair - options for my character over being able to customize the environment.

Nay. The ship needs to be iconic.

It's especially helpful for cosplay.

I'd definitely would like there to customization options for the ship in ME:Andromeda. At least the for the interior of the vessel.

im not sure our ship will have any role in the game except traveling from point a to b. but i wouldn't mind.

I agree it's not likely to happen but I wouldn't rule it out especially given we had a bit of that in ME2.  I think it'll depend on how long we've been in Andromeda by the time we get to the setting wher e the game takes place though.Have we only just arrived or have we already been in Andromeda a few years? Because I would think that early on in life in Andromeda they'd have to think on their feet as it were much like Shepard had to in ME2 when they couldn't rely on the Alliance for help because of working with Cerberus.

I wouldn't mind it also, I say depending on how your protagonist personality your ship crew would have posted guard's with gun's if you are a strict military leader for example. I think at character creation if given option again on protagonist personality it should also reflect on how the ship operate as well setting the mood is just as immersive along with customization the ship IMO.

Well, Bioware has expressed a lot of interest in making our new Mako customizable, so maybe our new ship will be too. I would be all for it.

I am going to roll down the windows and play Low Rider.
