Putting the Harrier on any good weapons class (my favorite is the Drell Adept) almost trivializes Gold. And I only have the Harrier II (it's my lowest-ranked gun). I can only imagine what it's like at X.
From 2 to 10 is like another full reserve clip (almost) .. and ofc the damage increases too.
The gun is almost balanced at 1 (still really powerful but lacking ammo) .. each level beyond that gets more absurd
It's just annoying.
That's my summation of Platinum as well.
Also relevant: I hate using thermal clip packs, because if I keep that one at 255, it means I get more Medigel and Ops packs from my Spectre Packs and Arsenal Packs.
That, instead, should earn you a big, phat L2P!!!

More then that because the dmg boost also contributes to saved ammo. So in short, it's much better at X.

Getting there slowly but steady!
Carrier is an incredibly boring weapon. Hits like a truck yet somehow defies the laws of physics to have less recoil than an Avenger doing 1/4 of the damage.
If they had actually made it a hard hitting but nigh uncontrollable automatic rifle like an M14, FAL, AK or G3, it'd be fun. Instead it is simply a generic, completely stable, spray happy noob cannon. I only ever used it for its challenge and grinding promotions with level 1 characters, which was never an enjoyable experience anyway. I can get some enjoyment out of it on Quarksman, provided I use AM3 to reach ammo boxes before everyone else.
Give me a Saber any day of the week.

Most my guns are level 1-4 so they all feel like I'm constantly running for anmo. My lord high claymore packs 8 whole shots.
Yeah but it's the best 8 shots you can get
